Yeah it's all fun and games now but wait until they catch their child shooting at a hundred miles an hour through holes in the ceiling and floor. Who gets to fix THAT mess huh?

Thanks.
Now my wife and I know what we're going to do with the nursery.
It sure beats the Fallout 3 theme she was suggesting which sounded interesting but very unhygienic.
that would be so cool. apart from the devastation, night terrors of supermutants and ghouls comming to get your child..
We're also trying to avoid getting the kid a tetanus shot every week: the plans involved a lot of sharp edges, rust, and glowing radioactive things.

Most of the time, I'm not maternal in the slightest.
And then others, when I get to see things like this, kinda make me wish I was better with guys and could look forward to decorating my children's rooms into all sorts of games rooms. This... is adorable.

It's sparked so many ideas in my head too!

OK, this actually bugs me a tiny bit.

This is not a room for the kid; this is a room for the parents. The kid just lives there.
It's not inherently worse than my childhood 101 Dalmatians themed room. I didn't care that much for the movie, it was just a bedroom.

Why shouldn't it be for the parents? Babies aren't well known for their tasteful selection of decor. If you want to truly make it for the kid, just plaster the entire room with scratch-and-sniff stickers. At least this way, the parents don't mind having the room in their house and the baby isn't affected.
Now that is just silly. How's a baby going to figure out scratch-and-sniff stickers when they have yet to complete their investigative study to answer the question, "If Mom or Dad puts their hands in front of their face, is their face still there?"

As others have said, it's always for the parents. As an example, babies actually don't like pastel colors, even though people always want to decorate with pastels. Bright primary colors capture their attention more.
