Possible Mass Effect Prequel

I was browsing the web earlier when a friend of mine sent me this link.

Never played ME. Played ME2 half-assed(I just ran through the game without stopping and doing boring stuff) but I'll be quite intreseted if this is a ME3.

A Mass Effect Prequel is likely I think. Not in the setting you describe though I would say. It would more likely be something to do with the First Contact War, or anything immediately before or after that, or else it will be too irrelevant to the Mass Effect universe.

Add into the equation that if its the Incisor rifle there, it would have to be based in a post-alien contact scenario. I don't think it is specified whether or not the Incisor is a human-made weapon or not, but I think it is safe to assume it is either alien made or at the very least something adapted only for thermal clip usage, so would be something only alien communities would have.

It might not be the incisor, it could just be a similiar design (the same way an M4 looks like an M16), what strikes me first is that the environment isn't shiny metal and neon lights. That's weird not to see for an ME game.

I highly doubt it's a prequel. They're still no doubt working on putting 3 together. And also the Star Wars MMO. I'd expect a ME-themed MMO before a prequel.

a prequel wont finish Shepard's story..It has been said many times by Bioware that it's a squeal although I am thinking possible footage of the next DLC.

Eh, I'm guessing a new IP. I saw a small trailer about this, it was hyped as being from
"Bioware, the makers of Mass Effect and Dragon Age"
They wouldn't introduce something Mass Effect related by hyping it with Mass Effect.
I'm not sure why, but that seems like something that wouldn't happen.

I'm hoping it's not something Mass Effect related actually. I think Bioware should focuse on finishing up the trilogy before making a side-story/prequel.
I'm also hoping it's not Mass Effect, because it could mean it's a new IP with a modern setting, and apart from Alpha Protocol I can't think of an RPG that's set in modern times.
If anyone could pull off something like that, it'd be Bioware.

Only when I get really desperate. Thankfully, there are farms all over the place where I live. I can't risk letting Mass Effect: ODST see the light of day.
