OK, it doesn't hurt. It doesn't bother me that much.

But anyway, to answer your curiosity about how much free time I have on my hands: About as much as any other teenager these days.

The only real difference is that this site is my main source of entertainment. Not even video games come before this site. It's my home page on the computer, I have about 4 different bookmarks to different pages on the site, and there are tons of different word documents that are failed or not completed reviews I've been meaning to post on this site for shits and giggles.

I am addicted. HELP ME!

I'm as confused as you are. I just log on, do some stuff, and then BAM. 200 posts.

It worries me. I recently found out that I have the 5th highest post count. On a site of 400,000 people.

What am I doing with my life?!

If you're not spending more than, say, an hour and a half to two hours a day on the escapist, you're not doing anything wrong with your life, imho.

Also, I'd bet at least half of the aforementioned 400k people just watch Zero Punctuation and have up to 20 posts on random different topics at most. ZP must be the ultimate new traffic magnet for the escapist.

Don't let Post count bother you, I've been here for almost a year and I've only made about 450 Posts or something, I only post on something that sparks my interest. As opposed to the "Ask a [Blah] a question!" Threads lately which 50% are just idiots trying to get a badge or gain Post Count popularity.

I look more at Join Date and Post Count together. If they have a large post count and they joined a long time ago (like the few I've seen who joined in 2008) then I generally think they are good posters. If they have a big post count and they joined not long ago, I pretty much gather that they play forum games alot and post in User Groups. It doesn't mean I think they are bad posters, I just can't judge as well.

As other people have said, it makes you a more well-known member of the community, the problem here is we get people who want to be put on the map with the community so they spend all their time posting in every thread they can even if they don't know what the hell they're talking about in that particular subject.
