I mean, it's from Nintendo Power, they had a bit of a penchant for off-model character art. Probably didn't help they commissioned Katsuya Terada for it. He's not the kind of artist to follow someone else's designs.

I'd say Birdie is way worse in terms of character designs, along with F.A.N.G.

I really dislike the "re-designs" of Crash of the Titans and Mind Over Mutant. Crash 4's design updates are so much better.
Oh, Zangief and Voldo aren't nominations for big bad design, but for big bad bulge.

I am not going to lie, but a lot of the Homunculi are generic and interchangeable in Bayonetta 3. There are some decent designs while others are mishmash mess of gooey green with sometimes purple/purple highlights. The boss designs are better by comparison, but nothing to write home about when put next to boss and enemy designs of the Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.
