What were the key challenges facing Henry IV?

That's the impossible question I have to answer to not fail my degree. Medieval German history should be set alight and then fed to the Kraken.

Why is a raven like a writing desk?

(An oldie but a goodie. I nevar get tired of it, one way or the other.)
'Because there is a B in both, and an N in neither.' <- best answer I ever found.

ah the old blob vs juggernaught, simple, the blob sidesteps.
Wrong!

When an unstoppable object meets an immovable object, they simply pass through each other.
Wrong! An immovable object has infinite mass, which means that it creates a black hole of such incredible power that it pulls all light back to the beginning of every and beyond instantly.
An unstoppable force has infinite velocity, meaning that the light it projects will travel back to he beginning of time and beyond.

And since we haven't seen blind which obliterates the universe or complete darkness everywhere, it is safe to assume that there are no immovable objects or unstoppable forces.
Damn that's complicated, I think quantum tunneling is far more likely to occour, none of the black hole, back in time, stuff.

Have him break the gold each day for his pay.
Okay, that one was pretty clever.

Here's a riddle I found.

You hire a man to work for you for seven days. You have one bar of gold with which to pay him, segmented into seven sections. You must give him a piece of gold per day. If you can only make two breaks in the bar, how will you pay him?
From the full bar,Cut the bar once into a bar sized 1/7, and again to a 2/7 size, the remaining is a 4/7 bar

*Day1- Give 1/7bar, he keeps it (1;6)
*Day2- Give 2/7bar, ask for 1/7bar back (2;5)
*Day3- Give 1/7bar, he keeps both (3;4)
*Day4- Give 4/7bar, ask for others back (4;3)
*Day5- Give 1/7bar, he keeps both (5;2)
*Day6- Give 2/7bar, ask 1/7bar back (6;1)
*Day7- Give him the remaining 1/7bar (ALL;0)

Done!
THIS! This is the correct answer. Brilliant!

Guys, it's segmented into seven pieces, while still being one bar. And you can't give him some now and some later--a condition was that you had to give him a piece per day of work.
That is assuming the guy does not go out and spends his hard earned gold. If we are limiting the guy not to spend his money for services already rendered, why then can't we just pay him the full amount at the end of the 7 days? For all terms and purposes it has exactly the same effect. Perhaps the worker does not need the gold for anything else and just gets his kicks from stroking it at night in his bedroom "my Precioussss...."

I want to know the answer! I can't figure out where the stupid little square comes from (I refuse to Google it)

Why doesn't the irresistable force take the path of least resistance and go around the immovable object instead of right through it? That is if the two objects could even exist at the same time.

My friend's boyfriend knocked this thing out in a heartbeat; when I heard the answer I was like "Ohhhh, it was so EASY!" But when someone can't solve a problem like this, it's because they affix limitations to themselves that aren't there. Which is interesting in and of itself.
Argh.. I may have the answer...
It's already in seven sections, don't make any breaks?
isn't it at the end of the week you pay??

This is one i thought up ( dunno if its already done though ):
Your at a vending machine, each item is 50p, you put in £1 and then a 50p.
at the end of it you are left with no change and only two items. why?
(Surely with £1.50 you could of had 3?)
Because it's a jank vending machine that the products get stuck too easily.

Assume you are 10 feet from a door. Your first step is 5 feet from the door, your next step is 2.5 feet from the door, your next step is 1.25 feet from the door, and the pattern continues. How many steps will you take before you reach the door?
You will never get there because of some math series that I can't remember

I could just post the riddle by Epicurus, but I have no doubt someone has posted it already and I think it would be a bit inflamatory.
Nope. Not posted yet. Although i find it hilarious that its been over 2000 years since it was first posed. And there still isn't an answer for it. PWNED B#$%$@S.

Anyways.

Here's one.

Young i am tall.
Old i am short.
Of many colors i may be,
Sickly green i love to be.
Oft i gain scorn,
I hold sway over your porn.

Solve that.

A loading / Downloading bar
Very very close. But a loading bar is not tall when its young, and short when its old. Quite the opposite. It gets longer as it gets older. So you're very very very very close.

No, I don't recall ever hearing that. And the reason for this being...?

"That's the way they work" is not an acceptable answer.
