Apparently I have Bluetooth in this...who woulda thunk it. Anyway, the dedicated card heats up too much to be useful, but it plays Morrowind and Peggle, so I let my PS4 do the heavy lifting. OH and the SSD is actually a hybrid drive, something they don't tell you on Newegg or Amazon.

Acer laptop
Intel Core i5-5200U 2.2 GHz
8GB DDR3L
1TB HDD 8GB SSD

CPU: AMD FX 8320 8 Core (Liquid Cooled)
RAM: 8 gb DDR3 (G.Skill)
Mobo: ASUS M5A97 R 2.0
GPU: AMD R9 290X
Total of 6TB HDD space between 4 drives (Mixture of Seagate Barracudas and WD 7200 RPM each)
Monitor: 24" Playstation 3DTV
Keyboard: Razer Anansi
Mouse: Razer Dethadder

Runs modern games at Ultra 60fps steady, sometimes I have to tweak settings but I get solid framerates @1080p and I'm happy with it. Only a select few newer games, and some poorly optimized, need to be adjusted to lower settings but nothing below High. Love the way it works. Also running Windows 10 Pro, no issues whatsoever.

Recently rebuilt my machine finally moving away from my FX9370 and aging Corsair 800D. Current Spec Below:

Skylake i7 6700k overclocked to 4.6Ghz
ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Ranger
32GB (16*2) Corsair Vengeance 2600MHz DDR4
2 * Galax NVIDIA 970's (Overclocked 8 pack special editions)
500GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD (boot)
256GB Crucial SSD (Games), 2 * 2TB Western Digital Black Edition Drives (1 games, 1 media creation), 1TB WD Blue (Work, OneDrive, Files, etc.), 2 1.5TB drives for videos/software iso's.
Asus PCI AC1900 Wifi Card
EVGA 1000W PSU
NNZXT Hue+ (bottom blue bar is cpu temp and white light is static)
CoolerMaster Mastercase pro
1 4k monitor and 1 2k (both running at 2k).
Windows 10 Pro

Currently rocking a Corsair H110i gtx cooler which the cpu tops out at 81c (74c at stock speed) which for me is far too high so i think i will be going back to custom watercooling considering my old 9370 wouldn't go over 55c on that and those things run stupidly hot, I quite fancy a rigid tube build anyway.

damn son, you playing one indie game at a time? :D

OT:

slowly upgraded my original rig throughout the years, here is the most recent edition:

mobo: MSI ATX DDR3 2400 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97 PC MATE
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Processor 3.5 GHz LGA 1150
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
GPU: Gigabyte R9 290X GDDR5-4GB
PSU: FirePower 750FTY Fatal1ty 750W 80Plus Bronze Semi-Modular Gaming ATX
Monitor: LG 27EA33V Black 27" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor, IPS-Panel
HDD & SSD: have a SSD for the OS, then multiple big ass HDD's for games and backups
case: Rosewill Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case Cases THOR V2
Optical drive: LG WH14NS40 14X Internal Blu-ray M-DISC Burner BD BDXL MD CD DVD Drive + Cyberlink 3D Playback Burning Software

everything was bought at a pretty hefty discount, all in all I got it for 1150 US dollars, which isn't too shabby I'd say after including the monitor and blu-ray drive and full tower and multiple extra HDD's.

Also fun note: any part I replaced has become a part in another rig for a family member, so even though I've probably spent near ~2000 dollars on computer parts personally, they have gone on to power solitaire and facebook machines after retirement :D

Case: Cooler Master HAF 922
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500 (Sandy Bridge), currently clocked at 3.3 ghz.
Cooling: Just stock shit.
Mobo: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
Memory: 8gb DDR3 1600MHZ
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi)
Storage: 2TB Seagate HDD
Corsair 800W PSU [footnote]because I apparently decided I needed ALL THE POWER when I built this thing.[/footnote]

Pretty good build, all things told. Built it around June 2011, and it has served me damn well over the years. Haven't had to upgrade since, the thing still gets 30-60 FPS on medium to high graphics with basically everything. Probably going to get some more RAM soon though, because it is damn cheap, so why not? And another HDD, my current one is getting quite full... I also plan on upgrading the GPU sometime this year (waiting for Nvidia to announce their new cards, so I can snap up a GTX 970 on the cheap).

I have like 5 computers, err....

I'll post my 3 gaming systems:

Desktop (I built, ~4 years old, although the video card and cooler is newer) -
Coolmaster CM 690 II Advanced Nvidia Edition
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Intel i7 2600K @ 3.4Ghz - 3.7Ghz with Corsair H80i Water Cooling kit
Gigabyte Z68X-UD5-B3 motherboard
Corsair Dominator 1600mhz 8GB DDR3 RAM
EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 780ti 4GB
Western Digital 2TB HDD 7200rpm - I also had a Corsair 120GB SSD but it died and I haven't bothered to replace it yet
LG Bluray R/RW
Corsair AX1200 1200watt Gold PSU

Laptop 1 (newer):
Asus ROG GL552V
Intel i7 6700HQ @ 2.6 - 3.5Ghz
Windows 10 Home x64
2133mhz 8GB DDR4 RAM
15.6" IPS 1920x1080 display
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M 4GB
128GB SSD (M.2 2280) and 1TB 7200rpm
Bluray drive

Laptop 2 (older):
Asus N550jv
Intel i7 4700HQ @ 2.4 - 3.4Ghz
Ubuntu Gnome 15.10 x64 currently running - Has Windows 10 Home x64 claimed and Windows 7 x64 OEM so I can restore either Windows at a later date
1600mhz 16GB DDR3 RAM
15.6" 1920x1080 touchscreen screen
nVidia GeForce GT 750M 4GB
1TB 5400rpm HDD (considering replacing)
Bluray Writer

Why yes, I do have way too many computers. I'm actually seriously considering selling the 2 laptops and a Windows tablet/laptop hybrid and to buy the 1 Venom 13" gaming laptop. Undecided though as the 2 laptops do allow me to go to LAN gaming sessions and provide a spare laptop for someone that hasn't got a gaming machine.

CPU: AMD Phenom 1090T @ 3.8ghz
MB: Asus Evo M4N98TD

GPU: GTX 970
HDD: Seagate 1TB
SDD: Samsung Evo 120GB and Samsung Evo 500GB

I've had this rig for over a year now and am rather proud of it -
Mobo - ASUS X99-A
CPU -Intel Core I7 5930k @ 3.5ghz
Memory - Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 (4x4GB) quad channel
GFX - Radeon R9 295x2
HD - 2TB WD Green
PSU - Corsair HX 1050
Optical - LG BD Rewriter 16x
Case - Sentey GS-6010 Cobra
Mouse - Razer Deathadder
KB - Rosewill 107 key standard black
OS - Windows 10 Home 64
Still haven't put an SSD in it - the drive itself is nearly half full, so outside of the OS (which was OEM)there really isn't much else I'd want to choose to put on one.
Monitor - I swap between my Asus 24 in IPS monitor and my 50in Sony Bravia, depending upon control layout and other factors. The monitor I had purchased a few months prior for my old machine, the TV a few months after. The PC itself was the result of carefully planned saving, half of which came out of my 2014 tax return. At the time the GPU was at the $600 range, which helped planning for my build considerably.

Muh righ, with random upgrades from time to time.

Case: Bitfenix "Shinobi XL" Big Tower (size is everything!)
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z77
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.4GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i (Overclocking potential is there, I'm just too lazy to try yet)
GPU: EVGA GTX 770 "Superclocked" (yeah right....)
RAM: Crucial BallistiX 16GB (4x4GB) (chose these because the latency on them for XMP was 8-8-8-24, and apparently that's pretty good).
PSU: XFX ProSeries Black Edition 850W (Had a somewhat faulty PSU before this, and some dude on the internet had nothing but praise to rain on this one)
SSD: Samsung Evo 840 120GB
HDD: 2x 2TB drives + 1x 1TB drive (5TB total)(I actually don't quite recall what types of drives they are, but iirc one of them are Seagate, and the two others are WD)
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate (ttly leggit edition, honest! Wondering about upgrading to Win10, but again, I'm lazy)
Fans: 7x fans in total (6 Noctua 120mm for front intake and CPU radiator, plus one in bottom for GPU. 1 Corsair AF 140mm outtake rear).
Monitor: BenQ GL2450HM 24" screen. It's by no means the best screen out there, but it displays a satisfying image, and that's about all I need. Been wondering about upgrading, but funds are limited, and my GPU needs upgrade.
Keyboard: Corsair Gaming K70 RGB LED (had a Corsair K90 with macro buttons earlier, which I sorta kinda smashed some keys on, so the E-button wouldn't sit properly. I got the K70 because I had no need for the macro buttons).
Mouse: Logitech Proteus Core
Optical: Samsung something with blu-ray support. I don't even remember the last time I used it, BUT I MUST HAVE IT!

This rig has seen continuous upgrading since 2010, and since the early beginnings I've sunk considerable money and time into this. While none of it is the same rig as it was since the beginning, I've always thought of it as a single computer. I've changed case 2 times, motherboard 2 times, PSU 2 times, keyboard 2 times, GPU 2 times. The OS has always been Win7 tho, but I guess that's about to change as well. Win8 was absolutely dreadful (had it on my laptop), but win10 is looking good.

I'm about to invest in a new GPU, but the local prices for GTX 1070 were higher than expected. Hoping they will go down soon, otherwise I have to consider switching to red team. Don't really want to, I prefer the performance of nvidia more than the lower price of Radeon. I've heard a lot of weird stuff about CrossFire/SLi, so not sure if I want to go for that.

I also have a server machine and a laptop, but I can't be bothered to write them up now, gonna have to be for a later post.

Welcome! Post again soon! I'm reading that anything 650 watts or over should be fine. My next build will likely have an 850, even though I don't overclock or have multiple graphics cards. Seems to be a sweet spot.

Currently have
CPU I7 2600K
GPU HD 7970
850 Watt Power Supply
16 Gig of RAM DDR3 1333
256 Gig Scandisc SSD
1 TB Seagate x7200 internal
4 TB WD USB 3.0 external (I can run games through it)
I use a 39" Vizio 1080p TV as a monitor.

I hope to upgrade to something with 32 Gig of DDR4, 8 Gig Video card (likely the HD 480 if people stop scalping them and raising the price from MSRP of $240 to $380. Not sure about CPU. I understand games aren't fully utilizing an I7. May go with an I5.

Here's mine, bit scavenged from old parts but runs modern games fantastically at 1080 60fps
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 (yeah not even a K, but this thing still kicks ass)
RAM: 16GB
GPU: GTX 970
HDD: Small array of 2x1TB, 1x2TB drives, no SSD

I got a new PC recently so i'm posting to remind myself what i actually have.

i7-6700K 4ghtz
32GB RAM
GTX 980ti

Side notes, my first time using water cooling, didn't know it had gotten so easy that you can just forget you have it, system files are on an ssd, hard drive for storage, and by far the best feature of this PC which is hot dock bays for 3 hard drives, one being right on f***ing top.
I have lots of files to backup, i highly recommend this.
That's some cool shit! Mind sharing what the case is?

Thanks! I live in Indonesia right now, so I doubt I can get Novatech unless shipped somehow. Though I'm sure there are other dock-able cases around! Good inspiration though, data management for hoarders like me is always an issue
