What needs to be updated are

1) Mass Produced ARMY ISSUE bullet proof vests that STOP BULLETS
2) Robotic UAVs that are capable of assisting soldiers in the field with realtime surveilance
3) UGVs that can support individual squads of troops, that are easier to produce than regular tanks, that can coordinate with UAVs.

These need to be there to save lives for us AND civilians.

Okay.

Does anybody else have the ability to mass produce qaulity, battle hardened products that fit the above bill? (Besides the bullet proof vest thing, which is underwraps if I do believe, they have the Improved Outer Tactical Vest which only needs to be mass produced..)

Fimilar with Dragon Skin? They dropped that thing over the top of a grenade, the pressure would have killed the person, but no fragments got in. But, US Military nixed it for being too expensive..

They do have UAVs that do that.

Not sure on the third one.

These news are both scary and disgusting.

The only good thing about them is that they prevent soldiers getting injuries, that can be done even easier and cheaper: You don't send them to war!!!

question: with a 10:1 lifting ratio, could you rip a man in half? if not, how much power assistance will that take and how soon will we be able to accomplish this? i'm ready to see warfare come to it's logical conclusion - one-on-one combat between soldiers equipped with bulletproof kill-em-all suits ripping each other to shreds on the fields of tyranny

AMERICA - FUCK YEA

lol cool.

All applications aside, it's good they're working on this: "The Natick team's goal, he adds, is to combine all the processes so a soldier can easily operate and get in and out of the suit without help." <-That's the main problem with powered armour (See anything Halo-related for further reading).

Too bad we haven't figured out the matter-to-energy storage system yet (Metroid ftw)

I'll take that as a no then...

Because people who think that new and interesting ways of killing each other with is fun or good makes me sick.

Elsewhere too?
With the money we pump into our military, that wouldn't surprise me for a second.
And helping our buddies wouldn't be too far behind, considering what most of you guys have done for us before.
