Lawrence Fishburne too. Looking forward to it with Rodriguez, been way to long since he's made a movie.

You were expecting Chris Hanson?

I don't know what I was expecting. I just haven't heard fuckall about this movie. As in absolutely nothing. I didn't even know they were making a new Predator movie, or that Brody was going to be in it. I knew nothing.

This could turn out to be either absolutely godawful or a good movie. If it's as good as Predator 2 then I'll be at least satisfied. I've been following it ever since before the casting was announced (huge Alien and Predator fan).

I think it will definitely turn out better than that absolutely disgraceful AVP:R which barely counts as a movie, I can not name the amount of bullshit that was contained in it, an absolute travesty. It made AVP look like a GOOD MOVIE for gods sake.

I think the casting is my main worry, Adrien Brody I never really liked terribly much and I can't see him in this role, Laurence FIshburne is hopefully cool.

Robert Rodriguez is the head honcho here though, so I would feel pretty safe about that, he knows what he's doing.

I've always thought of Predator movies as 'B' movies, which are fun to watch as long as you don't take them too seriously. Know the great thing about B movies? You never have high expectations of them so they have to work really hard to disappoint you.

Well, I don't think it's bad, if that's what you're asking.

But then, I'm too young to actually take it all that seriously. >_>
And acting immature like that will not garner you any respect.

I think it'll make for a good movie, though, I know most of the older fans will dislike it because of the new types of predators being introduced.

My only fear is that they may have bitten off a bit more than they can chew with the amount of "protagonists". At least, as far as the movie format allows, where they'd only have enough space to develop a handful of characters, at most.

If all the humans stick together as a squad, I assume it'll get the Saving Private Ryan treatment, where the majority of the squad is distinct, but at the end of the day, they're just disposable personalities to bounce the main characters off of, and the main characters get the necessary screen time to be fleshed out.

If the humans split up and "go their own way" (I'll bet one of my testicles that at least one of them says something along the lines of "I work better alone" or just disappears, no matter which way it goes), I fear for the worst. Not for the humans themselves, since most of them are obviously going to die, no matter what; I do fear that the plot would be little more than a bunch of schizophrenic switching between many sporadically-overlapping story lines. Very few directors are good jugglers, and given the source material... well... I don't imagine they signed Scorsese onto this project.

Eh. They lost me as soon as I saw the line "the most dangerous killers on the planet".

Looks pretty fucking cool to me though I have a bit of a hard time believing Adrien Brody is a mercenary.

Oh wait, I'm sorry, not just a mercenary, one of the most deadly killers in the world.
He is... Deadpool...

I just had a geek moment imagining Deadpool vs a Predator. I'm going to put that mental image up next to Deadpool vs Boba Fett.

You mind telling me why I'm apparently immature?

what provoked that? anything? just seems that you want attention cause you feel like people won't respect you for your age. Seeking attention in any form, for any reason, is childish. If you want people to respect you for your behavior, not your age number, act the way you want to be treated, cause in that post, you sound like an angsty teen. Not a respectable adult.

It's a movie about extremely brutal aliens hunting a bunch of armed killers, directed by Robert Rodriguez. I don't expect it to be a milestone of modern cinema, but personally I think the premise alone sounds like a marriage made in heaven.

I think it looks like an average movie that will get about average reviews and will make bank.

It looks decent enough, but I probably won't go to see it. I'll just rent it once it's out on DVD.

I'm sorry I took so long to respond, I had to clean my mind off the walls. It did paint them a pretty pink though.

That wasn't attention seeking, that was being honest. But thank you for the attention. If you were trying to keep it from me, you're clearly not doing a good job of it.

Not that much information?! I think these escapians beg to differ but then again you just found out the movie exists, I'll let it slide.

He may not look it, but he can play many parts really well. I think it will be a good movie, and I honestly can't wait. ;D
Oh no, I'm not doubting his ability to act, I think he's a great actor.

It's just that he's a skinny kinda dorky guy who doesn't strike me as the "mercenary" type much less one of the deadliest people in the world.
What if hes the field medic who heals everyone and is soft? ;o
That would be more believable :D
