For me its a three way tie. Greek, Norse, and Celtic are all awsome. And Japanise mythology is pretty cool

Greek seems to be the most fun for me to look at, so I'll pick them.

norse mythology. thor is the shit and you know it.

also, it really has that fantasy lord of the rings type feel that anicent egypt or greek never did. however, after playing god of war 3, or any god of war game, it reminded me of the large amount of violence and sex in the original greek mythology. get this; one of the minor greek goddess's was made when posiedon chopped off either one of the minor god or titan's dick and threw it into the ocean, and from that bubbles came out and she was in one of the bubbles. now that sounds dumb and comically silly at first, but think of all the blood there would be....

one other thing about sex and violence in greek myth; ODIPUS REX: THE ORIGINAL MOTHER FUCKER

but what i like about norse is thor. there's an entire marvel comic series about norse gods, and it's strictly tied in with the marvel universe b/c thor's one of the avengers. plus, THOR MOVIE!!! SOON!!! NERDGASM!!!

I love Norse mythology. Sad that Too Human sucked so hard. Greek is my fav though. Though, it occurs to me that it's probably not as interesting as it is in something like God of War.

greek but if LoTR counts since Tolkien sort of wrote it because England didn't quite have a mythology, then I'd choose LoTR

Norse: somehow the idea that your deities are just as mortal as you are makes them seam more relatable.

I love Greek myth. I had a phase when I was a kid where I was obsessed about it. I really want to read Norse myth though. It seems kick ass.

Reading the replies, I just have to wonder: what the hell happened to us? Where is our modern badass mythology? We've got mainstream religion that involve half-assed miracles, no slaying of giants, or incest, or a bloke trying to bone everything even remotely human and female...

I have probably studied Greek mythology a lot more than any other since, obviously, it's what's taught in school the most. Lately I've been trying to read up on Aztec mythology, which is not at easy to find information on, but of course it's the only mythology I could really call "mine."
I do also find Egyptian mythology quite interesting and I remember once even reading a bit about Hawaiian mythology.

Norse Mythology. the Scandanavians shit rings around the UK at everything. history, science, literature, music, schooling, landscapes, mythology, food, films and they are responsible for lots of western culture. they are superior to us in every single way.
