Honestly, If I took your words and put it on top of a Vanilla Civ 1 video, It would still be absolutely true..

What IS it about the game that makes it better than any civ before it? Why should I wanna play this any more than civ 4, 3, or even 2.. from your review I'm getting exactly the same game.

But seriously, the preview goes over city states, the new civic system, etc. It's just all done in-character. There are several straight-up previews all across the internet, look 'em up.

Personally, I thought this was a good preview. I'm kind of embarrassed to say that this sort of thing is running through my mind every time I play Civ.

I loved Alpha Centauri so much. The addition of a great science-fiction storyline that informed the strategy was just awesome. I'll admit, that kind of thing did go through my head,... When I played CIV 1!

The weirdest part is, I have the Press release, but wanted to see what other people were going to say about it before I wrote my own review, Besides the Hex Grid system, I can't notice any worthwhile difference between 4 and 5.
