I looked around and notice theres no pro wrestling forums here. since i am a fan, and this is a geek site, and proudly i am a geek (or git at least) I thought i Start one.

I am a wrestling fan everything from wwe, tna, cmll, AAA, Zero japan. I wounder how many other fans are here. I thought i start things of with alittle list top 5 pro wrestlers.

1. Stone Clod
2. The Rock
3. Sting
4. Bret Hart
5. John Cena

To all Who think pro wrestlings fake:
I would make it Pro Wreslting fake or not but like i said im a huge fan not a idiot. wrestling is real. let me explain somethings to you,
All you wrestling fans dont wanna have the magic dissapear dont read
****SPOILER****
Pro wrestling is real. stroylines fake, winner preditermind. But what happens in the ring is mostly real. the reason it might look fake or unbelievible, is becuase they are putting on a show and are not really trying to hurt each other. Slams are real, thats whhy they go to school. they learn how to fall properly and slam properly so they dont kill or get killed. You mess up a body slam, suplex, power bomb someone could get seriously injured. It is a sport just because its sports entertianment, doesnt make any lees of a sport. You still need some althletic ability to do it.****SPOILER****

So any Fans here Which Show is better whos in your top 5

why do they make him win all the time
Because little kids buy his stuff, WWE loves selling merchandise, it's the same with Rey Mysterio and DX

I don't like Pro Wrestling too much, but I'm not going to decry it and whine about the faked results. Especially when the blood is still (mostly) real.

Have you seen them punching who actually punches like that, it's meant not to hurt, also they are trained for when they do moves for minimum pain. I don't like it tbh.

The punches look so fake, and it's always so obvious that they're aiming to not hurt the other guy that it breaks the suspension of disbelief.

Why watch staged fights when you can watch a real one?

Also, how can you make a list of the best "Pro" wrestlers? What criteria do you use?

When I used to watch it my favourites were.

1. Undertaker
2. Kane
3. Rob Van Dam
4. Eddie Guerrero
5. Chris Jericho

They were figures from my childhood and Im not even American. I used to watch WWE all the time and I would not miss a single fight with these in them. I was also truly saddened by Eddie's Death and I hate that Chavo arsehole he is related too.

EDIT: Also I know its Fake but its still good. You cant deny how many people its entertained and still does.

my list of best wrasslers

1 Brett Hart - just way too much skill and class
2 Hulk Hogan - not much in skill but great on charisma
3 Rick Flair - WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
4 Andre The Giant - awesome person and great ambassador of the sport
5 Abdullah The Butcher - the true King of Hardcore

i will say the Hart family wrasslers have been among the best there are. all the top guys usually are Hart family trained.

i never really watched NJPW or any of the Japanese

It's too bad that it's not actually wrestling either. I was an actual wrestler, and all that garbage on TV is just fake fighting.

becuase the real one arent any better. I watched boxing (which sucks now, nobody can fight all worried about how they look), UFC ( which goes, 2 min of doing nothing 2 1/2 min of awkward spooning and 10 sec of actual fighting)

Also its not really the best its who you see as best: athletic, charismatic, good innovative matches. Maybe sense of humor, best character. Maybe you should watch. Some matches do suck and are boring but there alot of good ones.

I see. Makes sense.
And I know they hurt each other, sometimes quite badly. I quite remember one time when Eddie Guerrero (?) was hit with a chair in the forehead and it actually left a hole on the front of his skull.

TNA HAS women wrestlers, WWE has divas aka eye candy with no other talent, except Mickey James, Trish and Lita were a golden womans wrestling age for WWE.

Yes it's fake fighting, it's scripted, but it's semi-contact (like a martial arts tournament), these guys cut themselves open to bleed (which hurts like a *****) agree to everything that's going to happen before the match up, how many of you would say to a 15+ stone guy, "yeah, you can hit me over the head with a chair" and to those that say "oh, but they put their hands in the way" WOULDN'T YOU!?!

4/5 of the guys are trained fighters after all, undertaker taking a 5th dan in Jiu Jitsu, Kurt Angle the 1996 Heavyweight Olympic gold medalist, Bobby Lashley a Army (or marine) wrestler, and a highly rated one at that. Then there are people like Batista and Cena who are just "pretty boys" but they still get taught some basics and how to fall.

Jeeze, for a forum that's generally well educated a lot of you know bugger all about this.

Bullshit it's real. The other day I watched Ray Mysterio get absolutely massacred and then out of nowhere do his "619" and win with a KO from just that.

Ah well, I'm not really a fan but I'll say Steve Austin for being Australian.
In the immortal words of Diamond Dallas Page: "You can't fake gravity." If a guy jumps from the top of a ladder to fall through a table, he's genuinely doing it. The ladder is real, the table is real, the impact is real. Is it all choreographed? Absolutely. Is the outcome predetermined? Most certainly. But I challenge you to let someone whack you on the back of the head with a folding chair and tell me that's not real pain you're feeling. Obviously, everything is played up for the performance, and some moves are, in fact, faked for effect, but to suggest there's no physicality taking place is simply absurd.

Also, Christopher Daniels, though I much preferred his Ring of Honor version of the Fallen Angel.

Fag and wigger are not the same word. He is part of the retardation of children into 'gangsta' stuff though and I would not be sad if he died. Cold yes, but Im just being honest.

Undertaker was always my favorite. I dotn watch it anymore though, I hate most of the people still around, and some of the ones I did like went to TNA which I dont like at all.

I am not sure whether to find this offensive or not.

This isn't really a geek site , it's more of a haven for people with intelligent things to say.

OT: wrestling is funny to watch, when i can watch i do so with a big grin on my face =]

I don't like wrestling.
MMA usually breaks down into real wrestling or Ju Jitsu.

I just never got in WWF/EEC wrestling because it is obviously so damn fake. But to each their own I say.
