Sigh, someone HAD to show that awful clip of Scott Steiner. Please ignore him, not even we want him around. God knows how he keeps getting work.

ARMBAR!
yeah i remember watching it and it was absolutely hilarious cause he kept going on thru the commercial break, i laughed really hard at that

basically he was allowed to do all that because wcw didn't really care and they didn't have much to lose and he became a hit, he was a low level wrestler before that with some tv time but not much, once he turned heel he became rather big in wcw

as for Booker T and his brother Stevie Ray, they actually run their own mma school, tho i think it's mostly Stevie who's running it now

It might just be because I didn't start watching until the later part of '05 and don't have fond memories of the "Attitude Era", but I'm a big WWE fan. Evan Bourne in particular is one guy that I'm really becoming a big fan of, he's like Mysterio on cocaine. I'll also watch TNA from time to time, but really, the announcers kill it for me.

Anyways, anybody else notice how friggin old the Undertaker has gotten? I just find it hilarious that they keep trying to push him as this unbeatable machine when he looks like he's going to crumble into dust and blow away at any moment.

Though I will say that he still has the coolest entrance.
Anyone who thinks Rey Misterio Jr. is awesome, check out TNA's Sonjay Dutt. To be frank, he pee's all over RMJ - sorry :p

Am I the only one who stopped watching when I hit...I don't know, 12?

I used to love it, but now I just can't get over the whole attitude of it - the exaggerated and annoying commentary, the irritating characters and scripts, the fact that the Divas seem to be more about tits than talent; what the hell happened to the time honoured, instinctual tradition of just beating each other up?

The female factor was another reason I boycotted WWE years ago. There are some awesomely talented female wrestlers around. WWE would have them in there for 5 minutes, realise they weren't going to get their tits out and replace them with some barbie doll waste of space that'd get monster implants and whapp them out before they've had time to heal.

A few of my friends started claiming I was gay because I was pissed off at hot chicks being on wrestling, but my point is that if I wanted to check out naked chicks (not half naked chicks) wrestling, I'd look for porn on the web. You wouldn't want to be half way through whilst looking at one of the girls and have a guy come into shot - gutted!

Alexis Laree was the last bit of good talent the WWE hired when I still watched it. They changed her name to Mickey James or something and toned down her move set DRASTICALLY.

She could do with being back on TNA to be honest.

Alexis vs. Roxxi would be a good match.

We were selling the WWE Diva annual and I was actually quite embarrassed selling that level of softcore porn.

There's only a very few (Lita) that can actually take a punch and carry on. Even Chyna used to slow to a crawl after one suplex.

They really need to stop making specific superstars unbeatable because once you see Cena take down five men, it all gets a little laughable.

And that's the bottom line.

I loves me some rassling. When I was 14 I was big into the Attitude Era of WWF (NOT E). Stone cold, the BEST incarnation of DX, Mick Foley, Ken Shamrock, all the rest

I fell out for a while after WCW was bought by McMahon. With no competition it wasn't any good. TNA was good for a while as well.

Has anyone heard Macho Man Randy Savage's rap album? I've only heard one song "Be a Man", which is both a slam at the Hulkster, and proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that Randy's lost his mind

The WWE Divas are everything wrong with Women's pro-Wrestling. Although now Beth Phoenix is champ, Natalya Neidhart is on Smackdown, It looks like Victoria might be getting another push there is still hope....At least until I realize Candice Michelle is getting a title shot at No Mercy....

TNA Knockouts on the otherhand are everything that is right....as long as you ignore that Beauty Pagent a few weeks ago. And it is a damn shame that 'Cute' Kip James is making more money than Angelina Love, Velvet Skye, Awesome Kong, and Roxxi even though every one of them is more talented in the ring than he is.

AAARRRRGGGHHHH. I'd repressed it all until now, damn you! (returns favour) If you haven't heard Randy Savage rapping, Google that shit.

It's almost as awful awesome as Hulk Hogan's acting skills.

Between the Honk-Donk meter and the introduction of the Brain Barometer Santino is absolutely amazing...

But does anyone actually think that he will be able to break the record? I mean he still has over a year to go...

I used to watch it, I think my first was wrestlemania 3 or something. Used to watch WWF and NWA (WWE and WCW), we used to prefer WWF's theatrics, but NWA's action, The Steiners for example, seemed to improvise a new suplex every week, heh. It was around the time Kane came in that I drifted away, there just became too much theatrics, too much beating up on the women and making it a good thing, just seemed it was taking quite an adult direction while aiming to keep the kid audience. At the same time you had ECW catering for the older fans with the hardcore stuff. I just feel WWF era was far superior than WWE. Far more larger than life characters and fun stuff, instead of the tone of today.

You want to know why I still watch wrestling? That 8 man tag match between: Kofi Kingston, C.M. Punk, Evan Bourne, and Rey Mysterio vs. Manu, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Kane is the reason I still watch wretling!

Former "chairman" of the WCW.

I used to love the WWE back in the Attitude days. I would tune in every week to see what outrageous things Austin or the Rock would do. The WWE now just seems devoid of personalities, Jericho being one of the few exceptions. And I'm sick of the same people going for the title shots (Triple H, John Cena, Batista and Edge). I know Triple H is married to Steph McMahon, but really. It was like a breath of fresh air when CM Punk won, but then they kept screwing him.

Me and my mates have switched to TNA now, mainly because the wrestling is of a higher calibre. Even the Knockouts can wrestle (although the WWE have cottoned onto this and you have Beth Phoenix and Natalya Neidhart).

He could do it if he stops being stupid and centers his wrestling on hiding behind that giant unibrow. Christ, all he has to do is headbutt somebody and they'd be lost in there for days.
