I've been playing the online for a while, and I am yet to come across a strategy that is invincible. Every rush tactic I have seen has been beatable. The fact of the matter is that rush tactics are very inflexible, if you can throw the player off and survive the rush, they will often not have an effective alternate strategy. As to actually surviving rushes, you have to use your leader powers effectively.
The reason things like the rush tactic and others like the mass warthog strategy are so popular is because they are relatively easy to use. These strategies evolve quickly because people get beat by them and immediately copy them and find success in that, so the strategy spreads quickly.
I can't tell you what strategy works best for you, but I recommend going with strategies that have a decent mix of units (3-4 types) and be ready to adapt your strategies to what your opponent is doing.
This is the best strategy I have come up with yet, most people online who don't rush use the "mass a super-unit strategy", by figuring out WHICH super-unit, you can easily counter them and win easily.wrightofway said:If you refuse to mass you will lose in Halo Wars. This doesn't mean you should just build one unit the entire game, this means you should scout and build the counter to what they are building. If you see or suspect that the opponent is building Hawks then build lots and lots of Wolverines. Likewise Cobras against Grizzlies.
Always try to keep your opponent on the defensive. Scout early and often and move fast.

At a certain point, people who hate a game series become more annoying than the the fanboys of that series. Hate if you must, but at least do so quietly.flare09 said:I can tell you your first problem:
You bought a game with the word 'halo' in it.
