Prototype is gracing the shelves in a little over a week.

And before i commit to buying it, i was wondering what The Escapist community thought of it.
So roll up, and express your thoughts and ideas on this upcoming RPG.

looks kinda cool, but is sort of overshadowed by inFamous. Need to play some to form an opinion though.

Little over a week? Maybe its a different date for us Brits, but I didn't know it was that soon.

Exact date is june 9th

Anyways. I want it. REAAAAAAAAALLY want it. It's by the same devs as Hulk: ultimate destruction, which was amazing, and it seens this time they're trying to make you feel like the ultimate badass. And if there's one thing i like to feel like, it's the ultimate badass.

Off topic: did they decide to implement multiplayer or not? im getting it reguardless

I think of it as a cool, but original mix of elements from Crackdown, Alone in the Dark and Mirror's Edge. Yeah, I'm gonna try this one out for sure.

I think, (don't quote me on this) there is no multi-player.

I can't wait for it, got it pre-ordered.

Lets see:

Shape shifting, open world parkour, wall running, gliding, epic fighting moves, jacking a helicopter, elbow dropping a tank, body snatching, awesome devastator moves, sweet threads, infected people to kill.

Yep, sounds friggin awesome.

EDIT: + Pulverizing infected with the hammers, throwing cars and people, sliding a helicopter along the ground and mincing enemies with the blades, throwing soldiers into helicopter blades, epic jumping and dive bombing.

I have already paid for it and am patiently waiting for the game and my Alec Mercer figurine (preorder bonus). I tried freezing myself but it didn't work.

I think that if we let the good guys work with this a little bit, so that the game wont be like the bubblegum from Family guy, (that is, OOOOOH!!! Aw.) and i want to see that it doesnt get boring and repetitive. And graphicswise, they promised nothing, so unless they make it look like Mercenaries 2, anything of good graphics would be great (Think about implementing GTA IV graphics to it). Anyhoo, im buying it, Parkour is nice and dandy for selling it, seeing as its more and more popular in the world. Badassness close to the Wolverine, given the amnesia and so forth.
Conclusion : Yep, buy it.

I'm sort of indifferent...

Could be good though, the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction team did a good job on that game but it wasn't without it's flaws. Hopefully these will smooth over and we'll get a great experience out of it but I'll be enjoying InFamous for the time being.

You can elbow drop a tank and rip people apart
it's going to kick balls.
Assuming they don't cock the controls up.
