Exist? Nothing exists.
Reality isn't out there. *points outward*
It's in here. *points towards own head*

We're all just 3D holograms of energy vibrating at roughly the same frequency anyways...

Looks like the Buddhists had it figured out a couple thousand years ago.

Umm what? I can see, i can hear, i can feel, i can create. I exist.

I dont get this question.

Please explain how can this question make sence. Because i dont know. I really dont.
Think about The Matrix. How do you know that you're not floating in a vat somewhere, being fed false information by a super-intelligent computer or something like that? Everything around you could be one gigantic illusion, and you have no way of knowing for sure that it isn't.

Proving you exist is simple. "I think, therefore I am."

Being able to think and not exist are contradictions so if you can think, you exist. It's that easy.

Giving a girl an orgasm, and having physical proof of your accomplishments. I feel pretty good and damn sure I exist during and after. So does she.

The physical is easily manipulated if you have the right tools.

Also, "physical proof"? Eww...

If I throw something through a window, and if someone else notices, that's proof I exist.

Hey man, its never gotten old for me. But no matter how good she acts, I take it happening with a grain of salt if there's no proof, other then the shivering of relief.

Ya, physical proof is pretty useless. The only thing that you can ever truly know is that you yourself exist. That is it. Everything can be manipulated except for your own capability to produce a single thought. If you can produce one thought than you exist.

Discussions like this make me feel weird. Because no one will ever know for sure. This is in the same list as reincarnation, death, and time travel.

EDIT: Death as in, "after life or not" argument. And please, this better not start a flame war.

I think most people feel weird about discussions like this up until they accept the fact that they will never know. While most of us seek to gain knowledge and understanding about the world we live in we must also accept the fact that there will always be some questions that simply can not be answered. No matter how wise someone may be they will always be just as in the dark as everyone else when it comes to questions regarding the nature of reality.

You're soooo philosophical. It blows my mind.

Do I exist? I can't prove it to anyone but myself. And is that really proving it?

Having realized this, I proceed to disappear. *poof*

Proof enough if no one else exists.

Nothing exists, we are all part of the matrix.
A world-wide webbing of tubes.
A planetary net of communication.
The last human had synced with the net years ago...

TEH INTERNETS HAS YOU!

(Oh wait, that's not happened yet...READ THIS POST IN ABOUT 15 YEARS!)

Touche. But what's an existence w/o purpose? Especially if you believe one can only have purpose if others rely on you.

EDIT: I suppose I phrased that incorrectly, but I'm not sure how else to put it.
