Any of the Shin Megami Tensei stuff,Amazon has them for a pretty decent prices the only ones that may be somewhat hard to find would be Digital Devil Saga 1 and the first Raidou Kuzunoha game.


Other games: Dragon quest 8,the Sly Cooper series,WE Love Katamari and Wild Arms 3(avoid 4 like the plague)

i started playing drakengard a little while ago (i recently finished nier and i know drakengard is a prequel). when does this game pick up? i loved nier but im on part 4 or 5 of drakengard and am so freakin bored

No, they do really tie up the story well. Plus the post game is quite good, you've got some stuff to do which is nice. Plus a few more party members.

Hold off on getting Metal Gear Solid 3 if you own a current gen console, it, Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Solid 2 are being re-released this year for the 360 and PS3. MGS3 was tied for the Hitman games for the best games I have ever played before I played the Deus Ex demo.

It is a good game, though I'd say the PSP version was better - just because you could pause the game.

I'm gonna be the odd one out and say DON'T play Kingdom Hearts 1...
The story isn't hard to catch up on and 2 supercedes the game in every way imaginable, I'm an avid fan of the series (Bought a PSP purely for Birth By Sleep and plan on doing the same with a PS3 for KH3) but if I had played KH1 instead of KH2? never woulda bothered.

Aside from that, almost all the good ones have been said I think... but I'll just repeat games like Destroy All Humans, any Katamari game, the Persona series, Disgaea, Burnout 3 Takedown, God of War, Shadow of the Collosus and Psychonauts.

I have the game for both platforms and yeah, the PSP version is somewhat better - though if you have only a PS2 get it nevertheless, it's still awesome

Tales of the Abyss is really good, if you can get over the loading times and the rather annoying main protagonist. (It's on purpose, and he gets better about a 1/3 of the way through the game anyway)
