One of my PS3 controllers recently broke. At first I thought it was just a dead battery because I hadn't used it in about a month but when I hooked it up to the PS3 via USB cable, nothing. Tried hooking it up to the computer, nothing. Figuring maybe it was completely dead and had to charge for awhile I left it plugged into the computer, an hour or so later still nothing (and a different controller had completely charged from one bar in this time).
I haven't dropped it nor have I spilled any liquid on it. I'm beginning to suspect it may have been damaged by a PC driver for the controller but I don't know if this is even possible. Does anyone know if it is or if it has been documented to happen? The driver I'm using is the latest DS3 Tool version. Also, the last time I was using it was hooked up to the computer, not with the PS3.
