I don't understand the question.Ontoue said:Also, do memory cards play any role in how much space a game takes up?
You can use the PS2 and PS1 memory cards if you have an adapter. Be warned that not all models can play PS2 games. Oh and if you're worried about buying a 40gb and running out of room, you can switch out the hard drive for a bigger one pretty cheap (they use 2.5 laptop drives).Ontoue said:Ok, I see now, thanks. I just thought it would have memory cards like the ps2.
The adapters? Yeah I'm sure you can find them online, not so sure about Best Buy though. I haven't been there in a while so I couldn't tell you. If you were referring to the hard drives, http://www.gamespot.com/features/6176090/index.html that should help you quite a bitOntoue said:Are those available online or at bestbuy or something like that?
Actually I think it's the 40GB, the 60gb, and a few versions of the 80gb that are backwards compatible. I'm not sure if the 80gb versions (the motorstorm bundles) ever went to the UK.Radav said:They're all the same apart from the 60gb,(can play ps/ps2 games, memory sticks slots, chrome plastic). They stopped selling the 60gig now, in the UK anyway.
80gig is more then enough if your not going to use it as a media center and download loads of demos, and it's very easy to upgrade the HDD if you ever need more space.
Same here, my roommates and I have several TB of movies we are going to hook up to my PS3.NimbleJack3 said:I'm planning to hook up a 1tb MyBook to my PS3 and turn it into a media center.
You don't need an internet connection, just a lan controller.Radav said:and also you do not really need to upgrade your hdd if you have a fast internet connection, you can stream your videos, musics, etc from your pc as well just like the 360.
oh right, I don't know much about network, all I know is when I connect my consoles wirelessly it doesn's stream fast if my internet is slow.Credge said:You don't need an internet connection, just a lan controller.Radav said:and also you do not really need to upgrade your hdd if you have a fast internet connection, you can stream your videos, musics, etc from your pc as well just like the 360.
That alone can't be true, since "your internet" is an external network, and the one with the consoles it's an internal network. Of course it would slow down if you saturated the wi-fi network, and/or if you had a poor wireless access point and many connected peripherals.Radav said:oh right, I don't know much about network, all I know is when I connect my consoles wirelessly it doesn's stream fast if my internet is slow.
