Yo Escapist.
So, I was wondering, how much will a PS4 cost in your country?

In Norway It'll cost from 3900NKR(655USD) to 4000NKR(670USD)

How does this relate your wage? Is it a lot or not?

For me It's quite a lot of money as my monthly wage is around 4000NKR, but at the same time pretty cheap as I only work Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 13:00 til 16:00

Are you happy with the price?

I find the price very affordable, so I'm pretty happy with it.

$400 USD

I get similar hours to you OP and make around $420USD a month. Just wondering do you make above your countries minimum wage or do you just get minimum?

I'm happy with the price, it's better than the PS3's launch price. Cheaper is always better, but if I want it cheaper I'll wait.

I earn the minimum wage atm.
The ps3 launch price was atrocious here.

400 USD is the current price here, I have NO wage as I am a poor college student who, thankfully, got a sizable refund which will pay for the console plus with the Target deal will allow me to pick up 3 games for only 520 + tax. I think that is a pretty great deal, especially as I am really into the Sony system as of late and it has more exclusives that I want to play (Killzone, Knack, with Infamous: Second Son and a new KH/Final Fantasy on the way).

Although, I must say the price for you seems ungodly high. Are the exchange rates just shit for US currency and Norway?
Nah, wouldn't say it's shit, it's just that our average wage is pretty high. The dollar have been falling constantly for around 3-4 years now with a few hiccups.
I like the exchange rates actually, since everything I buy outside of Norway is cheap as shit.

I won't be paying anything for a PS4, but that's because I have no intention of buying one. It's not worth saving $50 on the console only to have to buy a PS+ subscription. On top of this, I'm much happier with my 360 than I ever was with my PS2.

Having said that, I won't be buying at launch. Probably won't touch a new console til next year at the earliest, particularly after buying a Wii at close to launch and barely having touched it since buying a 360.

3989 SEK (450 euro, $600, £372)

Don't have any wage atm, but if I had a job it would be reasonable.

It's not exactly different from what consoles have always cost(a lot cheaper even, iirc), but I've already spent so damn much on PS3 games and recently bought a new PC for 5500SEK, so I'll wait a few years unless I get a job soon.

And yes, the price difference between USA and the rest of the world sucks major balls. Gief free shipping overseas!

$550 here in Australia.Although JB HIFI has a $700 bundle with Killzone Shadowfall, a second controller and a PlayStation camera. Considering that new controllers and the games themselves are going for around $100 it's a pretty decent deal in terms of the amount you save.

Base Console with one controller = $550
Killzone Shadowfall = $98
Controller = $98
Playstation Camera = $88

That's close to $134 saving of what you'd pay buying everything separately , and I seriously doubt many people will be just getting the console, Well you kind of need a game to get started off.

Best thing is they will have stock in time for Christmas, I checked with my local store.
Link if your interested at checking it out yourself.

$550AUD, I make on average $240AUD per week (though that is subject to change). I'm planning on waiting a year before I get one, it'll let the major bugs be ironed out and i'll get to see what the game lineup is like, until then, i'm happy with my PS3 (that and the PS+ service isn't that cheap, especially when I barely use the PSN now)

$550 Australian dollars. I'm currently living off $250 a week, although $140 goes to rent. So I won't be getting one for a while. I'll wait until there's more games I want and I have some cash to spare.

Hopefully my tax return and Christmas money give me some disposable income.

US$ 2,000.

It is quite a lot. Even when I am well paid by my country's standards, its not considered a small investment.

I really should be more excited by a new inFamous, but Delsin (the main character) just does nothing for me, ahh I miss Cole and Zeke!

They're listed at around $400 CDN here, so with the current exchange rate it comes out to $385 USD.

Pretty reasonably priced, I'd say.

The ps4 official price here is U$1750.

The minimum wage is U$295, so it's a luxury item, most people would have to work half a year to buy one.

PS4 price is near my monthly salary and I work 40+ hours per week, so I'm not much excited about it, probably I'll stick to installing steamOS on my PC. With some more RAM, it will have enough spec to run next generation games for a while.

I'm not happy with the price, but it was expected... consoles have always been very expensive here. You could say that we have here the "console master race" intead of "pc master race".

?400 in the Netherlands. I'm sorta between jobs. I only have a small Saturday job at the moment and as such it comes to 2 month salaries right now (ouch). Still, I'm okay with the price. It's similar to what I paid for the PS3. I don't think I'll get it soon though. I might wait half a year for some inevitable release problems to be solved and for the library to fill up a bit.
