Yes, also this.Another problem is parts breaking down over the years, especially as the technology become more complex. It's unrealistic to expect someone to have a working PS3 after frequent use in 2035. They should be doing everything they can to emulate games on the later consoles.
My Xbox 360 has all but packed it in, by now. The disc drive hasn't properly worked for years, and by the time I finally retired it because the Xbox One introduced backwards compatibility, I was having to pry it open with a screwdriver, just to change the disc. And this was my 3rd 360.
Hardware doesn't last too well - especially when they are packed with cheap moving parts, like modern consoles.
