It seems the cameras idea are being stolen from the DSi, but lets see where this will go.

Discuss.

EDIT: The pictures are of a fanmade mockup, not the real thing. Dual analog sticks have not yet been confirmed.

EDIT:

Okay, lets try again.

The camera idea was stupid on the DSi anyways.

Looks like they finally brightened up enough to put two analogue sticks in, but they're in very awkward positions. being place too high, and over the other buttons on the controller. You could very easily hit the face buttons or D-Pad while trying to steer.

No no, that's a fanmade mockup (the last line of the article says that). Dual-analog sticks have not yet been confirmed. Keep your fingers crossed!

I'm not really going to care until I see the type of games it can produce.

Glad they put in dual analog sticks though.

If it looks like that I'll actually buy it. They'd need to give me more incentive though like more good games. Or even ports of older games that are good would do.

I have a PSP and I rarely use it, and when I do it's only for video and music and the battery is just way too short-lived for it. I might buy a bigger battery if they sell them, though.

Probably not buying a PSP 2, though.

Not confirmed. It says in the article

Interestingly, there is no word yet on the number (if any) of analog sticks that will be included on this new handheld.
and at the bottom

So, we'll have to wait for an inevitable follow-up post to show you the juicy leaked photos. For now, here's a fan-made prototype that we're quite fond of.

I'm willing to bet they'll be in though. Sony wouldn't make another mistake like that, or at least, I really hope not. :)

No, it doesn't look like that. It's a fanmade mockup.

I think the PSP had quite a few good games. The problem was that they came out occasionally, and the releases in-between were shovelware.

The control sticks are above the buttons, that seems like a bad idea considering what gamers are used to.

DAMN YOU OP!!! Well I shouldve read your edit but thats not the point.

Anyway I rarely seen any big releases for it. The only games I played and enjoyed on it were battlefront 2 and monster hunter. Mainly because I didn't have a PSP but also because I had no interest in any of the other games.

If they bring out a RTS, 3rd person shooter and an RPG game that I know I'll like then they've basically sold me on the console. Although I already have 2 RTS minis on my ps3 along with a few other games which I hopefully could use on the PSP as well which is a bonus.

I see dual analogue sticks on the PSP failing. Using both at the same time will probably make you drop the PSP considering the shape unless they drastically change it. Not sure why people want them anyway no other handheld has them.

And they better not release it anytime soon since there are a lot of really good looking PSP games coming out soon (mainly MHP3rd and I'm pretty sure MH is the main seller of PSPs in Japan)

Ugh, I didn't even get a psp that long ago. This is problem with consoles. If you wait till the prices go down by the time you get one they're already releasing the shiny new even more expensive versions.

I bet you by the time I have money to get a ps3 the ps4 will already be out and support for ps3 will be gone.

Do you have a 1000(Phat), 2000(Slim), or 3000(Brite)?

The 2000 and 3000 can use a 1000 battery for more battery life. But you'll need this cover:

If you're desperate for power, you might also want to buy this:

Unfortunately, these solutions are all 2000(Slim) and 3000(Brite)

Why do people complain about battery life? While playing a game the battery on my 3000 lasts 6-7 hours and I don't think mine came with some kind of special super battery.

I don't know, personally I have never had a problem with the battery life either.
