This thing is so damn full of fail... Oh my god.
Care to elaborate? It sure looks like a better upgrade than the DSi...
Which doesn't say much since the DS Lite is still better than anything Sony has ever released on the handheld market..
Not true! They haven't continually outsold against the PSP nor have they been sturdier units with less recalls!

I call shenanigans indeed!

On an unrelated but related note...what the hell is wrong with sony?

As for PSP not having any good games I have to disagree, I modded mine and can now take all my awesome PS1 games on the road with me.

or...again wait...are we talking about out of the box without cfw...hmmm...there are still some.

That Tommy example really doesn't make much sense. By that logic, there would be no fans of Nintendo handhelds at all...

I understand where you're going with this: that Sony might be afraid of ticking people off by making a new handheld at this point. Give me a moment to check something.

EDIT: It's been four years since the PSP was released. The timeframe from Gameboy Color to the GBA? Three years.

So yeah, I don't think that there's any need to keep the old one going. Sony can bring in a new one now, and it wouldn't piss the customers off.
As far as I know, the Gameboys and DSs have always had the same buttons. 4 shape buttons, 4 directional buttons. That's an issue of backwards compatibility, not controlls.

It would be like trying to play "Rythem Heaven" for the DS, on a Gameboy (disregarding the cartridge size). Without the touchscreen, you can't even press start.

Wait... what? I'm sorry, but I really don't understand what you're saying.

I was trying to say with that post that the proper amount of time has passed for the next handheld to be made, so Sony could have made a PSP with two sticks and not angered their customers.

Ah, the mythical PSP2, that's what you were talking about, my mistake I thought we were still on the whole controls thing.

I can't believe that they did not add a second thumb stick I mean come on Sony it's kind of an obvious change.

How many times must one say "It's NOT a PSP2" before idiots get the message. *sigh*

I actually read this whole stupid thread. Hold on, I'm generalizing the people that have posted and that is wrong. Some people are acting stupid and some people are trying to use their heads.

To all you people that say dual analogs are the best thing since sliced bread, Can one of you try to explain to me how in the world are you supposed to design:
a. an slim handheld
b. easy access to dual analogs
c. easy access to four to six button interface

Both B and C must allow ease of use while using each other. This is for the sony system.

one of things I don't like of dual analogs is that one analog seems to get in the way of the button interface. I wish there was a controller that swapped the analog used for viewing ( i.e. mouse look ) and instead made the entire controller the analog, i.e. move the controller up and you look up.

It looks good, but what would I do with it now that I am bored with Chains of Olympus.
PSONE CLASSICS!
I have Castlevania SOTN and Crash 3 and they're awesome.
Some other cool ones are Crash 1 and 2, Resident Evil, Suikoden, and FF7 is coming soon.

Well, it looks like I won't be playing any Monster Hunters, including the new and improved yet to be released Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on this "new" and "improved" pile. Instead of wasting money designing a system that no one wants, maybe they should have either jumped to the PSP2 or stuck with upping the gaming quality on their existing system...

Sigh. Sony never learns.

How can you say that?
Sony has learned that people will buy anything as long as it comes in sleek package. If it doesn't sell here, it'll definitely sell at their home base.

God that Looks Ugly... like someone took 2 PSPs Skydiving and Forgot to open his Parachute, crushing them into a Mess, then Someone At Sony Found it and Designed the GO! like that

I have yet to find a good explanation as to why the PSP Go! is apparently so ugly...

Your not the only one. Sure it resembles a cell phone in some respects a tad much but thats not really bad. And come on, when it's opened it looks like an opened DS with rounded edges. If anything the DS looks uncomfortable and ugly with it's rigid rectangular design. Then again it could just be system haters...they like to nit pick...

I like the design, if they keep even thing else EXACTLY the same as the PSP original though, its kinda pointless. This console is probably the most remade console ever, although the DS is not far behind...
