Ok, I know what your general reaction will be, and i don't blame ya, but bear with me a moment...

In late August, I was hanging out at the fair with a friend of mine. As we were walking thru the fair, she spotted one of her friends and went up to him. This friend of hers, he was completely freaking out, he was crying and panicked. he said something about this woman, who did a psychic reading on him. He said she described everything about him; where he lived, what his house looked like, the rocking chair he recently moved out of a room in the house, the doll house in the basement that was a model of the actual house, etc. He was scared, and was talking about just "getting on a bus and get the fuck away from here!". So naturally, me and my friend went to see this woman. she a middleage woman, sitting in a lawn chair behind the horse barn, surrounded by half a dozen teens listening eagerly as she gave a reading of one of teens. Me and my friend joined the group and listened to this woman. She completely described this boy's house, she described the old torn down barn to the east of the house, she even described the exact directions of how to get to this boys previous house from the highway, she knew that there was a snowmobile path in between the old house and their current house, she described everything in very specific detail, with the boy hardly saying anything the whole time.
I know many of the tricks fake psychics use; cold readings, paying attention to person's reactions, psychological tricks, etc. But this woman wasn't using any of those tricks. I'd like to make it clear, I am a man of science, and don't believe in psychics. But as far as I can logically tell, this woman was psychic... there is no other possible way i can make sense of it. I don't expect many of you to believe this; if I were reading this from someone else, I wouldn't believe it either. Hell, if you can even make sense of this, please do. All I can logically tell, is that she's psychic...

There are 3 explanations.
1. She's a good stalker.
2. Lucky Guess.
3. Magnets.
she'd have to be a DAMN good stalker, along with strong CIA connections, in order to do this!

The other logical answer is that you don't know how she did it. Here is a list of possible scenarios:

It was all fake. She planned it with this group of teens.

She's been in their houses before/spied on them and this is just a list of observations.

She MAY be reading microexpressions. You would never be able to see them, but they are the briefest of tells that everyone gives off when speaking.

Notice how she did no future predicting, just descriptions of what WAS and what IS, the two time frames easiest to fake in the realm of psychic-dom.

Ask her for a detailed 30-day forecast and see if she's really psychic. The truth is that if there were truly psychics, they would come forward with their powers. Imagine if you discovered you could predict the future, would you really stick to talking to weak-willed people? No, you would share it with the motherfucking world.

three is the most likely. Magnets... How do they work?
other than that, I got nothing, she is a formidable foe.

Any chance that it was staged? She could have been told beforehand and paid your friend to bring you all over to her act.

i truly doubt it was staged, as these were just random teens who had gathered there, one of which (who had gotten a psychic reading from the woman,) was someone my friend knew well, and he was obviously very scared, and very panicked. plus, she would have nothing to gain from staging it all, nobody was paying her to do readings. and if she was just a stalker/in there homes, that would mean that she would have first had to been inside those peoples homes, watched there actions of those specific people for long periods of time, and have known that they were going to come get a psychic reading from her(WITHOUT recognizing her), and all this for WHAT? a few 'ooohs' and 'awws' from some teens??? and the micro expressions, tho maybe possible, she would have to be a damn master of psychology to be able to tell that THIS facial expression followed by THIS facial expression meant Timmy has a broken down barn to the east side of his house, and that to get to his former house, you take a left off of the highway, then a right, then a left (she actually said the correct directions of how to get to his former house from the highway,).

have you considered that this was all staged? she hired these kids. did you give her money? tell me you didnt give her money.

also, funny story, I have been called a psychic! one of my friends told me her dream. i was like cool. a few days later she told me she had a dream. she said, "i was walking down the road, when i passed by a storefront. a guy walks out." i say, "its your dad's best friend" she gives me this look and goes, "whoa you're psychic!" i say "naw, you told me this dream a few days ago. i just recognized it is all!" man, her expression was priceless.

EDIT:

ok, fine, it wasnt staged. i got nothin. the thing that strikes me as suspicious now, is that she DIDNT ask for money. why the hell is a random psychic just tellin kids where they live? even if it is a trick and she isnt psychic, she stands to gain nothing! maybe she was just bored, had a dude recording the kids' reactions behind a curtain or something.

First off, that guy was truly fucking scared; i doubt even some pro actors could have pulled that off so well; and plus, my friend knew him very well. and second, what would she have to gain besides a few "oohs" and "awws" from some teens?

No idea whether she's psychic or not. Best not to jump to conclusions and say she is. It's easy for people to fool other people in believing what they want, so it is probably not best to take anyone's word as truth. I don't know the circumstances fully, so can't reach a conclusion.

In the cosmic scheme of things, toblerones mysteriously appearing near you is pretty sweet!

...but still creepy.

Just because it can't be explained doesn't mean it's not real.

Heck, look at gravity. No one knows exactly how it works, but it apparently does. (Everything that has mass attracts every other thing that has mass. Why? It just does.)

Either way, you'd be famous. The point is that these "psychics" only seem to operate in these covert kiosks on the side of the road. They only tend to prey on the weak-minded. They don't make killings or do anything else truly impressive in the world, which would be an actually productive use of one's powers.
