Should o' made the Gravity Hammers solar powered. I mean with the massive lightning problem and hardly any battles taking place at night.

That'd work great, except for that brief jaunt in the rain and the li'l detour into the digestive tract of the galaxy's biggest parasite.

(Use of selective memory in order to make slighting comments always brings out the sarcasm in me.)

PS: Sometimes when running through the Cortana level with the flamethrower, I think of Cajun and Thai cooking.

I found it really, really stupid that a bloody hammer needs ammunition.
Well, it does have some manner of power source to produce the anti-gravity pulse (hence, "Gravity" Hammer). And it stands to reason that that power source will eventually become depleted.
It also stands reason that you can bop 'em on the head. After all, it is a big hammer.
I don't know if you tried, but all weapons can still melee attack when they're empty. Even the sword although the blade disappears and you're essentially just bare-fisted punching. And the hammer has a tougher melee attack than most weapons.
You're hitting them with the base of the handle, not the hammer's head. I just think it would make more sense to use the big heavy end.

I know it's a minor detail but the animation visible to others is often hitting with the head.

I never noticed that, most people just drop it in multiplayer when they run out, or they don't run out; and in campaign you only see the player model/animation.

Like I said, minor detail. But you may see people just swing it in multiplayer (without the anti-gravity pulse) or be playing co-op in the campaign. Or watching a saved film.

So my "bros" and I are the only ones that think "hammars"(dead Gravity hammer) and "stubbies"(Dead Energy Sword) are awesome.

The appeal of beating someone with an oversized hammer or a marshal's baton is pretty universal I think.
Then why would you drop it? Wait does this mean people online CARE about winning? I have many a vidja (saved film) to disprove this.
