I've never studied fighting, but I mainly have grapple style. I always keep my hands open to block an attack. If I catch a punch, I'll grab their arm and give the the ol' Iron Palm to the chest. xD

We had self defense class on Tuesday for our healthy day. I can get out of a headlock now!
I've done karate and Tae Kwon Doe. I'm hoping to take it back up soon.

I did tae kwon do for 3years( i've forgot how to spell it so i guessed) but i've never had to fight anyone before so i guess i can't say if i'm good or bad at fighting.

Another question i put to you:

What activities outside of your martial arts training do you use to condition you?

For instance i have done parkour for roughly 4 years to improve my strength, stamina and not to mention flexibility.

It can be anything you do from jogging in the morning to hardcore weightlifting after work.

I'm Irish. so... take a guess...

I have about 16 yrs of training in disorganized drunken brawling.
I come from the North (of England), so I have many years of training in the ancient Martial Arts of thumpin' people and pie n' mash throwing.

And of course, Ecky Thump.

[small]Please tell me somebody gets that.[/small]

I guess my technique is considered street brawling, so I don't have any martial arts training. I'm one of those "tough as nails" from daily activity kinds of people. I've worked on a farm, I've worked on the docks, and now I work in a warehouse lifting heavy boxes all day. Some people train their bodies to be tough but some bodies are forced to be.

I've got 9 years of wrestling experience, so I can get in close and basically grapple...

In one fight I got a guy into a bear hug and cracked three of his ribs. I've got a high pain threshold, I earned the nickname Helmet, I'm stronger than most people I know, and if I can get close I am very confident I can win.

So technically yes, but in the spirit of the question, no.

I always pick something up and then drop it like you, I've done karate and judo in the past, but not for too long.

My main fighting style right now would have to be the use of my weight against my opponents. Even before judo I used to put all my weight into swinging somebody into the wall and stuff, seemed to work out :p (note: it didn't work when it was 1 on 15).

I don't really fight anybody now but probably because most people have matured (I wouldn't really say that I have XD, not too much anyway). Another case could be that I spend too much time on the PC and not enough in the real world!

I like to make sure I win my fights, and I usually do through a combination of dirty tactics and hitting them over the head with the heaviest object to hand.

Even though I hold my size (1.87, 80 kg) as my main asset when it comes to fighting, I also know Roubo (stick thwacking in style for you), dagger and sword play (not like you carry the latter around, but still, I am a master in fencing), but properly learnt that's about it, I'd rather not think that the mini lessons I've taken in things like karate, judo, even ninjutsu have made me a better fighter (although they sure helped). Like said before, I tend to use my size, and any object that can inflict harm I can found. But then again, I'm very pacific, and I'm not angered easily

I haven't been in a fight since year 4.

But I don't think I'm horrible, I also get like 1000x better if I can play Eye of the Tiger on loop on a radio while fighting.

Edit: I took karate for some two years, only got to Orange though becasue my sensei was a fuckhead who wouldn't let me go to graduation. But to be honest I prefer my own bullshitted on the spot style of fighting.

my style of fighting only works if the opponent strikes first, and i tend to be far to gentle with them anyway thanks to a fear of consequences.

not that im strong anyway. in fact im really quite weak. i fight using my knowledge of human anatomy and physics.
