I would sell any game if someone would pay me absurd amounts of money for it. For example; I currently own all three numerical Final Fantasy titles released for the PS1 in good condition [except for the packaging] with all discs in fine, working order [with a possible exception of dust] I am very curious to see how much I could get off of those three titles if sold on e-bay as a bundle. I doubt I'll get anything for my copy of Legend of Dragoon or, Dino Crisis 2 though >.>

Edit: just checked e-buy and it seems all three FF titles sell for around 30 or so. I think I'll hold mine e.e Dino Crisis 2 ... much less expensive xD

Edited-Edit: After a bit more research...I should consider selling my Magic the Gathering cards o.o damn!

yeah, yer probably better of just forking over that copy of legend of the dragoon to me.

It would be close for me, but, I think for me, im a bit of a amgpie so I would likely keep them.

I love my games too much and its hard enough for me to trade them in (Hardly ever do) so something rare would likely mean so much more

I too have FF 7 8 9 all with original non platinum discs and (where possible) the original Japanese disk artwork. same deal for 10, 10-2, 12 and 13 But I would never sell them....ever. I have spent far to much of my childhood playing such great games to sell them now

Nah probably wont even happen. Coz mostly the games that i buy end up being pretty good games.

So they sell pretty good. This means there are many copies out. So before I could sell it for a good price I would be dead coz it aint gonna happen in the coming 60 years.

I don't really own all that many rare games. If I could call Ico and Grim Fandango rare, then sure. I actually have two (2) copies of Grim Fandango, both in full working order. On the other hand, no matter what I do, I can't seem to get them to run. The closest I've come is running for 1 minute before the sound glitches out and the game crashes. It has nothing to do with the discs, but you new computers just don't seem to agree with the game.

Ico on the other hand I'd sell because... well it isn't that good. I'll give it that it was a fun little romp and that it had a touching little story and gives you the sliver of a much larger world. But I can't help but feel that I will never have the desire to play through it again. It's clunky and a bit buggy in places and it's just not amazing. However, the thing seems to be a rarity these days and every "indie" gamer wants to get their hands on the thing to try out the "under-appreciated gem" that it is.

I would certainly sell them if I was offered insane amounts of money and I needed it, but if I had nothing to spend it on, I certainly wouldn't.
If I was offered more than I paid for and I enjoyed the game, I probably wouldn't sell it, as knowing me I'd probably go back to playing it (or if I sold it I'd probably want to play it then, but it would be a bit late).

Then again, I do have a bookcase full of my 300+ games...

Steel Battalion from CapCom, it's not the game that's rare but the specialised controler (for origional xbox so don't get any funny ideas about remapping keys). If it wasn't actually sitting in another house right now and so not taking up space for me then I would sell that terrible excuse for entertainment in a heartbeat. It cost me near to £100 but I'd sell it for a tenner.... its actual value.

If i still have a working system to play it on and it's only it's version of it I.E. non game of the year origional verison and I can get a new less special copy for game play fine. But I don't think I'd sale a currently rare older gen games I have Maybe a few Currents down the line but who knows how those will turn out with all these trade offers now-a-days

They're just games, ok they're rare but it's not like they're a painting or anything, they're mass produced bits of plastic, with that kinda dough you could probably get another 10 rare games anyway.

I'm honestly not sure. I said yes because if I needed the money I wouldn't mind selling them. Though I've had a copy of Suikoden II for a while that has a scratch that causes the game to freeze when trying to enter a certain city. I haven't gotten rid if it yet, but I think that may be because it doesn't work properly.

Don't think so, unless that price had a lot of zeros at the end. But then again, who would be rich and crazy enough to spend a ton of money on just one old game?

For that money, definitely... although my opinion probably doesn't count, as I've never owned a console and all my games are no-CD patched for convenience and backed up on an external hard drive, so I don't really need the discs anyway...

If I had any rare games, I would sell them.

But alas, I don't, so I chose the answer "never". The oldest games I have (with original CDs) are now abandon-ware.

The closest I have to a rare game is my Dungeon Keeper: Collectors Edition. If someone was willing to buy it for £20,441 I would gladly sell it, and hell I would even throw in my copy of Dungeon Keeper 2.

well my collection is big enough to maybe hold some rare games and i would have no trouble handing them over to a big fan after i cracked it /burnt it
