Continuing the theme of yesterday's question [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/99981-Question-of-the-Day-April-15-2010], assuming money was no object, would you spend a small fortune (something along the lines of $31,000) for a game?

Nope. No way. High price does not mean it is a good game.
I would only buy games I would play.

Yes I would.
I would gladly pay a small fortune to acquire a copy of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Heart II Final Mix +.

Not normally, no. I've got this thing called a wife & family that would disown me. Justifiably so.

But if money is no object, then why not? I'll also take a helicopter made of chocolate, please.

I like video games...well probably not as much as eveyone here but I do like them, but that much money? Never.

Maybe not $31,000 and definitely not for some Atari 2600 game. I know it's rare, but it's the Atari 2600.

would seem a waste to me, but I'm sure there's a game I'd be willing to pay far more than the RRP

I've paid quite enough for consoles, 60 dollar games and upgrading my PC. Not to mention a few collectors editions I just couldn't pass up (fallout 3, argh).... If I really wanted a game bad enough, I could probably find an emulation of it, or a torrent were it PC. Games are just data, and that data is bound to be somewhere for cheap/free.

I voted maybe because I might if it were something I could never obtain again. However, I don't think such a thing will exist that could possibly tempt me.

I probably wouldn't.. but if I wanted it bad enough, I don't know. I guess it depends on what a "small fortune" is.

People die of hunger in some part of the world, and in another, games are bought at 31 grand. Strange world we live in.

I payed $65 for Sniper elite 4 years after it was launched cause i couldnt find another one.

Awsome game but thats the most ive ever paid for a game i wanted but wasnt new
