[takes out metaphorical weighing scales] Hmm... saving up to move out of my parents house by the end of the year or pay lots of money for in-game items I don't really need or even really want. [scales tip in favour of saving up] Well there you have it folks, the scales have spoken.

I won't be spending anything on in-game items.

I haven't bought the extra outfits for ME2 for $2, so that should let you know how much I care about cosmetic items.

If it doesn't do anything then it's not worth anything. This of course, is about the horse.

I actually spent 25 dollars on a Nexon card for Maple Story... Little did I know that after you bought the items, they disappeared after 90 days. The only thing that stayed was my haircut. Which sucks a lot.

I'd say £10 tops. I AM going to £17 for the cool celestial horse thing from Warcraft, but I wouldn't on a regular basis.

I've spent more money on crap I've used less (There's a Hawkin's Bazaar near my house...) before, at least I'd use skins/clothes/weapons/mounts...

I hate it when games include a system that means that the more someone who gives the company more money will do better. And I don't think that DLC does count.

Hmm I spent like 2 bucks on the appearance pack for Mass Effect 2 (mostly because I had an uneven amount of points and nothing to spend them on)
Though I'm not sure that counts...

New expansions, character slots etc. those are acceptable to me, but paying for an in-game item? No, I think I'll pass.

I usually only spend a couple dollars on DLC. I think the only times I've paid more are for the Gears of War 2 Dark Corners maps, and the Modern Warfare 2 maps.

If it were something beneficial like a specialised levelling item, or something of that nature, then sure I'd shell out about £5 for it.

But beyond that, if it's an in-game item, then I should be able to find it in game for nothing.

$1 - $10
Technically $1 - $2
And spend mainly on any new rock band songs that I like. Otherwise I have never paid for downloadable content or in game items.

I would say up to $15. And it would have to be pretty spectacular also.

I hate the concept in WoW though. I would be perfectly fine just grinding up to the mount like everything else in the game, hell, I am paying for the time. But Blizzard says that the money I pay already isn't good enough, and they want more, more.

I hate what Blizzard is doing. $15 a month and they want more money? People with most of their lives spent on WOW will do this. Sad.

I would spend a good amount on an in game item (up to $20) if I knew barely anyone else would have it, but since I know that item will instantly become common for everyone, I won't buy it, I need my pets and mounts and such to be rare.

Ironically, I just spent $80 on Grunty the Murloc vanity pet a couple months ago, but before you call me crazy, I did it because those Blizzcon pets always appreciate quite quickly, I am going to flip it for a profit in a couple of years.

Depends on the game, and the content. I plan on buying Blizz's new pony. I've bought a couple of the pets.

But, I play WoW quite a bit, and it's a game I am sure I'll still be playing a year from now (I plan on giving Cata a fair shake, even if Wrath was a bit disappointing). And it is usable on all my characters (I'm an altoholic. I have 9 I play regularly, and 9 more I play on occasion. So, I get good mileage out of these items.

For DLCs with new content, I'm willing to spend a bit of money, but over $10 I start to question it and do a little more research to make sure it's something I really want. It starts to depend on how much content I'm getting.
