It was not a very fun game, sadly. I got so bored with it I sent it back to Gamefly, halfway through some boring trudge through some weird level. Oh, sure, it was a novel concept, but after, what, 10 minutes? the novel ran out, and the artistic design left the combat's plate nothing more that mash-dodge-mash. A convoluted story and annoying shop mechanics left me feeling more apathetic and less inclined to play the game, while playing it.

I did like that they let you practice the move you could buy before actually purchasing, though, that was a decent touch.

I thouroughly enjoyed it. Hell, I'm still playing it. Then again, I've never really played anything like it.
The game asks the player to kill angels in an over the top manner, and I'm only too happy to comply. However, I can see why some people wouldn't like the game and it makes sense. Maybe I'm just bored of serious, heavy games. The third-person angle and lightweight character scheme always pull me back. Plus I love the voice actress of Bayonetta. I never really took the game seriously until the end.
That last battle of the Lost Chapter keeps getting me.

Never played it, and I have no will to play it. To say it's "not my thing" would be an understatement.

Just gotta beat Infinite Climax.

Hard's done...
Are you human? I gave up on hard a while back and stick to normal :s

But, I must admit, it's one of the best action game I played on the x360 so far. I love how mashing dem keys like a noob can dish out some beautiful combos, although I guess on the harder difficulty knowing which one to use is crucial, but meh, don't feel like learning them all.

I saw as an exploitation/b-movie because of the emphasis on Bayonetta's figure, the over the top things like suplexing a dragon and the cheesy dialogue. Me, thinking something flawed in the way Bruce Campbell movie is, in terms of story and action, it seems to live up to me expecting an Army Of Darkness type of game. Well, Army of Darkness if Sam Raimi was a sexually repressed man using film as an outlet for sexual tension. I saw Bayonetta as that. If Ash was a sexy woman that always gives you a WTF vibe.

Like the vast majority of things, it passed me by.

Haven't even played any game somewhat like it since Demon Stone. oÔ

Shouldn't the question be "Did you play Bayonetta?"

"No and Don't want to" isn't a valid response to "did you like it".
Poll's bumfucked.
And nah, I really didn't like it at all. Everything about it rustled my jimmies.
I thought that was the point? Or maybe I'm just not clear on what "rustled my jimmies" means.

It's definitely one of the most challenging games I've played in a while, but it's also a lot of fun - the boss battles are fantastic, and the combat is simplistic yet enjoyable.

Oh, and everyone who is "offended" by this game really needs to lighten up. Seriously, the gratuitous sexually is all in good fun, there's no need to get all self-righteous, you squares.

I thought the controls were terrible, and the others in the room thought the same so it isn't just me. The visuals were nice, but bad controls ruin games.

I played the demo and it seemed fun, but it wasn't worth all the hype it was getting. It felt like Devil May Cry...but with a very suggestive theme. xD

I'm a girl, and I liked it a lot. I mean, lots of sexual exploitation, whatever, but at least the one being exploited is the heroine instead of a sidekick or love interest or whatever. Besides, Bayonetta kicks some serious ass while being sexy; she's a ridiculously disproportionate Samus or Ada Wong.
