New IP, it seems stupid to hype a "secret" reveal for Mass Effect 3, a game that we all know is coming.

Plus, I want a new IP.

Mass Effect 3 would be a huge let-down after all this build up.

Though I'd be okay with a Mass Effect spin off.

im let down by the description that i saw about Mass Effect 3. it SOUNDS like it will ONLY take place on earth...

that sounds like bullshit. i wouldnt buy ME3 if it got 100% on the metascore and was game of the millenium

Dragon Age: Sci-Fi? Am I missing something?

..this. Isn't the entire point of Dragon Age is the Fantasy setting? And I, for one, prefer me some Fantasy to SciFi, so I definitely wouldn't want it any different.

So I hope for a Modern Day war RPG. Like Homefront (can't think of anything else with this shitty headache), but in RPG form. Something like that would be something I'd play all the time. However, I think such a task is better suited to someone like Bethesda as opposed to Bioware, even though I do prefer the latter.

OOOH! yes! I played it back in like 06, but considering it was a game in 03, and the other mention of Starfox 64 are not recent titles. Im kind of surprised this style of game sort of fell off the face of the earth. While the Starfox 64 remake that is due out next year might be good, Its kiddie anthromorphic motif is a little offsetting.

I remember good ole days playing gems like Wing commander, Colony wars, Descent, that one good Star trek game on the PSX and wanting to scratch that old itch, but the closest thing Ive seen that tries to recapture that style made recently would be either Star Trek Online (which doesnt even come close) or Project Sylpheed. So to say that a good title along that playstyle is overdue is an understatement in my book.

Anyway, I want Mass Effect 3.

Well, since Dragon Age 2 seems to be "Mass Effect: Fantasy" I'm not all that surprised it's an option.

Honestly, I hope it's a new IP or a Mass Effect spin-off. I don't think it'll be a multiplayer game, mainly because BioWare already has that other huge undertaking in the multiplayer realm. And I think it would be a serious watering-down of what made Mass Effect so great.

But there's plenty more in the Mass Effect universe than Shepard, they could definitely get away with making another unrelated. As long as they don't pull a Valve move and never release Mass Effect 3 while they're working on other projects.

I'd like a new game, but considering Mass Effect 3 is pretty much inevitable, it's probably going to be that. Still need to get around to beating the first one...

Seeing Mass Effect multiplayer shooter actually made me feel sick. So many games are scaled back because of multiplayer it bugs me. I never want that game going multiplayer. 2 player co-op? Maybe. I'd hate to see the game messed with.

Personally I'm hoping for a fantasy game which doesn't suck -gameplay-wise- like dragon age did. I mean seriously, the only thing that game had was good voice acting/dialogue, the rest of the game was just boring combat, yellowish-brown colors and an attempt to make it "dark" by throwing more blood around. I had more fun with the gameplay of NWN2. That says a lot.

So yeah. A new fresh IP in a fantasy environment would eb absolutely superb. Not that I seriously think it will be considering the teasers, but it's christmas. I can wish right?

I'm hoping new IP. Principally because I have yet to get around to playing Dragon Age or Mass Effect... I do have KOTOR.

I'm expecting it to not be another Halos of War game.
But it will be.

I'm hoping that maybe Bioware thought that Alpha Protocol was good in theory but poorly executed, so I guess I'm hoping for a modern/slightly futuristic spy and espionage sort of game. Original IP hopefully but it would work well in the Mass Effect universe too, like if you were a Cerberus agent sabatoging shit for the good/advancement of mankind. Damn that would be sick. Bioware would do that shit right as fucking rain.
