If someone payed for the trip, why not? But I wouldn't spend money on it.
And the radiation is not that bad, at least not everywhere. You'll have geiger counters and unless you're stupid, you won't die.

Just keep in mind, that those huge tomatoes we're growing here aren't safe for newcomers =) But they taste exceptionally delightful.

No, I don't want to die of radiation sickness.
^
Was my answer cause I know me. I'd wonder off the beaten path and come back with advanced radiation sickness. Yeah... I dont exactly have the best luck in the world.

Besides, I can just go visit 3 mile island instead (since i live in PA) and get the same basic gist.

Heh. Same. I hope to head to Cairo, Sydney, Rome, New York, and a few other places I forgot just now...but no, the glowing ruins of a city aren't among them, I get enough of that in downtown Glasgow. ^.-

OT: No thanks.
Yep, New York, California, LA, Las Vegas, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Japan, China, Thailand...

But perhaps not Chernobyl :S

The only way I'm going to Chernobyl is through CoD4, and it's not just because I don't have a passport.

Steadily growing cracks appearing in the hastily constructed containment built by the same people who built the reactor in the first place? Yeah, sounds like my dream vacation.

Except at 3 Mile Island, radiation levels didn't even exceed those found in NORMs (naturally occurring radioactive materials). But, you're right, a reactor is a reactor is a reactor. And 3 Mile Island wouldn't have you sprouting extra limbs or becoming a ghoul in the future.

I would prefer to see Pripyat instead of Chernobyl. Not as a gamer, not as a physics student, but as a human. To see our constructs, the environment we have created for ourselves in its abandoned state must surely be an indelibly moving experience, and one I feel I should feel.

"Yes, for another reason"

I like visiting places where lots of destruction happened. Like Locations of Battles, Pompe in Italy ECT.

There are very few places like Pripyat or Chernobyl where the devisation is still present, It would be exelent to visit.

Also Im a fan of STALKER and that mission in Cod4 was my favorite.

Thats what I mean. All the fun, none of the danger.
