I bought Dozens of games on Steam, but I don't think I bought a single physical copy. I bought Starcraft Digitally, and installed it with a friends disc though. Only borrowed games for my DS. Other people bought games for the consoles in the living room, but I played very, very few of them.

Hmm... Borderlands, FF2(psp), Torchlight, Bioshock/Oblivion pack, Soul Silver, Dissidia, Birth by Sleep, Red Steel 2, a bunch of used ones... God, I can't remember the rest.

Still, it in no way compares to digital purchases- My Steam account has gone, since early last year, from about five games to about seventy. Almost exclusively in sales. My Steam folder is now bigger than my old computer's hard drive.

Edit: Actually, you know what? I think I may have paid less total for the 65-ish Steam games then I did for the retails.
I guess it's trying to... [sunglasses] steamroll any digital competition.

I buy everything I can on disk/cartridge so save for a wiiware, psn or xbla game or two all my purchases this year were at retail.

I still haven't gotten into the groove of digital. It doesn't save me any time or effort and the cost is the same. If the cost were a great deal lower than retail I might go for it, but otherwise I'll take the option that gives me a case to put on my shelf. I have re-bought some games digitally that I own otherwise, but that extends only to a few psone games (FF7,8,9) that I got so I can play them on the psp.

Digital downloads just don't feel the same, and they take up space on the HDD when not in use. (well either that or delete and re-download but by the time I've dl'd it once again I'd probably not be in the mood to play it anymore). Plus with retail you see a lot more sales, in-store specials and whatnot.

EDIT: I also don't play a lot on the PC so that pretty much takes out all the digital sales that would save me some time/come with good deals.

I think the tally of games for me was about 13.

Fallout: New Vegas was my last one last year, and that one I currently play quite a bit along with Bakugan: Defenders of the Core and Tag Force 5 on the PSP.

Good times.

In 2010, only digital or second hand, sole exception being Starcraft 2.

I actually think I bought over 30 games in total that year, and still paid less than the full price of 3-4 games.

Yay Australian overpricing?

6+ easily (most through Amazon), plus who-knows how many digitally.
But then again, I enjoy having a physical disc and manual, but digital will do if the price is right, or it's the easiest in terms of availability.

I was only able to afford one new game for the year of 2010 and that was Mass Effect 2. I also picked up Guild Wars trilogy so me and my brother both had a MMO we both could play and were interested in, was also the last copy at my local games stop.
