Not without magic. Something the size and shape of a griffon for instance cannot fly. It's too damned big for wings to give it the lift. Same with dragons(and definately the multi-mile long chinese dragons). Too damned big.

Unicorns maybe, but then unicorns are supposed to be intelligent and inherently magical. And capable of sniffing out a virgin at 20 paces.

It COULD happen, but I don't think Dragons would. To big to survive in our time. Something about the Oxygen level is lower then it was during the Mesozoic Era.

But Unicorns and Griffons could have happened albeit a little different looking (Unicorns probably wouldn't be a Straight white)

Whos to say they don't... Do you have any solid evidence to say they don't...

Although everyone is almost 100% sure they don't (Except for that one girl who I went to school with who thought unicorns actually existed once).

But if they did once exist they would probably just evolve into a crappier version of their former selves... Like everything on this list [http://www.cracked.com/article_16117_6-formerly-kickass-creatures-ruined-by-evolution_p1.html]...

Unicorn and griffin i could kind of see how the evolution could have gone that way... (with the exception that only virgin girl could go near a unicorn and the unicorn have the power to heal) But dragon there is no way in heel it could have happen

seeing that narwhals exist, i can see there being a unicorn.

But not so much a dragon or a Griffith existing. By their very appearance is against the laws of physics XD

1 of 3 so thats a no.

if evolution went differently anything could result. however, the option yes, definitely is a bit over-zealous. it could have been possible if evolution was different but by no means would it be definite.

Unicorns as in a horse with a horn? Yes. Dragons and griffins? No chance. You might get a thing that if you squint really hard you might foold yourself into thinking it could pass for one but not even a slight chance of the real thing.

Wings won't be able to support the body of a lion or a gaint lizard, and it's physicaly impossible to make fire out of nowhere (unless the dragon will drink gasoline).
Though a horse with a horn is possible

ofcourse! DNA is a strange thing!. chimpansees and humans only differ about 3 % of DNA, so..
if a horse would be somewhat differrent, it could be a unicorn.
humans and cabbage have about 50% identicle DNA
so yoY are saying i am half a cabbage?

I'm a dragon, and i find this thread offensive. You keep thinking we're not real, well we're in books. And all this "oh dragons are a myth" talk is really getting me upset. My buddy sir uni is crying right now because of this post. You don't know what it's like to be a dragon, you think smoking is bad, i have to breath fucking fire!

I suppose. Somewhere in the infinite possibilities you have that possibility as well.
