I prefer my own cooking to any of my families (including extended).

They always follow the instructions or their routine rigidly. This means the food is almost always slightly over-cooked or under-cooked (I don't mean dangerously, just not as well done as it should be) as they don't take into account anything that might change how long something takes to finish.

That said, I can rarely be bothered to and nearly always go for simplistic foods.

Weeeee-eeeell... I'm pretty good in the kitchen. There's plenty I can cook well independantly, and almost nothing I can't make with a recipe. And I'm yet to give myself or anyone else an upset stomach, so I guess it's all good!!

I can cook a very taste omelet. I call it the nomelet. The flavor changes every time I make it, because I grow bored quite easily, and usually flavor it with whatever sounds good at the time.

I think I can make red beans and rice as well, but I haven't tried that in about a year.

I make some badass cheese omelette and steak/salmon burgers. And some vegetable/ground beef stew.

However, I don't dabble much in the types of recipes that require "a dash of X, a few tablespoons of Y, cooked separately and kept in the fridge overnight. Or anything that takes longer than 30 minutes to make.

I'm not a bad cook, just not a great one either. All my specialties involve rice though, Yum yum :)

I'm far better at baking and, thanks to my grandmother, have taken my first steps towards mastering the one thing my family adores: Pies (Real pies with REAL homemade filling and crust)

Cooking's always been a chore to me, because I was short on time, or just didn't have the patience for it. So my husband usually takes over in that department, but as I'm getting older, cooking starts to get more appealing. Still have the fire department on speed dial, though. ;)

I can make a few things really well. Like my Bitching Chicken. Everyone loves my Bitching Chicken. (and to think, the first time I made it I barely figured out how to make it.)

I'm not a great cook but I can whip up a decent curry or something pasta related. It seems that with increasing time spent since moving out, cooking xp increases exponentially.

Actually I am quite good at cooking, almost a gourmet. I can prepare quite complex dishes with no problem and I tend to be quite organized at it so once the dish is done, there is nothing else to clean.

I'm no master chef, but I'm still very competent in the kitchen. I can make a chili that'll blow your colon out, an omelet that'll have you slurring your words (by means of my good friend Jägermeister), or chocolate chip cookies that. . . . well, are just cookies. But they're tasty.

I am very, very terrible in the kitchen. In fact I'm worse than terrible, I'm abysmal!. Always have been. The only reason I passed my cooking class in high school was because my teacher was impressed at just how uniquely I could fail. Did you know you can burn broth? Not soup, broth! My teacher didn't know until I tried my hand at a simple vegetable soup. The most complicated thing I can make in a kitchen is Grilled Cheese so I eat a lot of Mr. Noodles and Cereal as a result.

I'm a pretty good cook, if I do say so myself, and I really enjoy cooking. If you live with other people it's also a great way to get out of doing the dishes, "I cooked so you can clean".

Yeah, and according to a few people I work with, I'm pretty good at it. And they also said that was weird since I'm a guy. Go figure...

It's an integral part of Boy Scouts. If you cooking, and you suck, be expected to be shun. Scouts love to eat, and we want food. Average meal: 4 burgers, 3 legs of chicken and a quarter of a pan of brownies, topped of with fruit and tang. And thats a normal meal; you should see our OA feasts (whole quart buckets of Ice Cream anyone?). Food may be important but, we're not fat though, we burn this off pretty quick (meals being required to encompass all 5 food groups and healthy as well helps too).

I can make breakfast, that's it. I'll have waffles for breakfast, frenchtoast for lunch and pancakes for dinner! It's GENIOUS! Even still, just the other day I tried making some waffles, I forgot the PAM and... let's just say, it was quite a mess. I just left it there for my dad to clean up, he wasn't too happy about it either.

I'm a rubbish cook. I could ruin cold cereal. My boyfriend is a better cook than he'll ever admit so I usually eat whatever he makes!
