I cook as often (usually dinner) as I can for my family, mostly depends on if I'm working or not. The holidays are especially fun for cooking as I can make lots of dishes for whomever's visiting us. Recipes or from scratch (I've even once used Personal Trainer: Cooking for the DS [http://www.personaltrainercooking.com/], which my son keeps asking me to use again) , all is possible...except grilling.

We bought a decent gas grill a couple of summers ago after buying our house. Granted, I've had little hands-on experience with it and it's raining 8-9 months out of the year here so I can't work with it as much as I should. But I just don't yet have the knack it takes to be even a competent griller. Maybe if I watch more of Bobby Flay's shows on Food Network I'll figure it out quicker.

I'm okay. I guess the skills come with taking D.T. Food as a GCSE, and not my plain awesomeness, unfortunately .

I can cook quite well. Éclairs are my speciality, but I make nice cake, pies, puddings, pasta dishes, steaks, pizzas, tarts, kievs, and many more. I'm also a dab hand at Cocktails.

I'm studying culinary arts at college, so yeah I'm quite good at cooking and I love doing it. I like to bake more than cooking and I'm better at it.

I learnt this weekend (my first weekend alone with no money to spend on take-away) that I know how to do some cooking. Such as sausages, steak, mashed potatoes, fries, lamb chops and soup.

Cooking has always been very rewarding to me. Something about knowing a skill that allows you to stuff your face afterwards sounds pretty good to me.

I cook and bake. My best dish is Japanese Curry. My wife and family really liked it and they're straightforward and honest.

Being a cook and all, I'd have to say that I can cook. Otherwise we wouldn't have any customers now, would we?

Ehh...not so good.

I can make French Toast, though! :D

And I don't...usually burn down the house...

Just once...
I can make french toast with hot sauce. Top that! I can also make hot pockets and ramen. Ramen is all the food I will ever need to eat.

I can make banana bread and ramen noodles... That's about all. But I really wish I could cook. It's just a useful skill to have.

Okay, let's put it this way:

In a game of chess, I am only capable of seeing a quarter of the board at a time. Now translate this myopia to a kitchen, where oven-things have to be watched, where there is a delicate balance between burning something and leaving it cooked just enough to confine you to the washroom the next day.

Please make your own sandwich, honey. You'll thank yourself for it. x_x

(on the other hand, I really would like to learn to cook, because my crush is a massive carnivore, so it's hard to have him over for even an afternoon unless there's take-out involved...)
