Why would I leave the comfort and security of my home to play video games when I don't even have to leave my chair to do so? Not to mention, the bathroom is right there! I don't really see a point to it....

In my adolescence I ended up at D&D camp, and while that was all well and good D&D breeds arguments and a lot of pent up rage. Especially in a camp where very much of playing is talking over people and waiting your turn for the 10 person initiative to roll around to you. Needless to say there was much need to "get one's ya-yas out" and dodgeball was an integral part ofthis. Video game camp could work if everything was team-based, camp being something meant to encourage social behavior, but every person should get exercise. It's part of being a healthy and functional human being.

Last one, because most likely when the children come home they'll be all bitchy about having to go outside and the like

This is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life.

Seriously, video game camp??? What the hell is wrong with people? Why can't these kids play games at home? It's not enough to have the boob tube raising kids for hours or days at a time, now we need to do it for weeks non-stop? Regular summer camp is bad enough, but at least there are things to do that most kids don't normally have the opportunity to do in their normal lives, but this is just straight up telling those poor kids that their parents don't want to be anywhere near them. And don't think kids are to dumb to pick up on that kind of thing. They know.

Wow. My mind is boggled, and my faith in humanity just took a serious hit. Don't get me wrong, I think video games are awesome and all, but damn.
