I voted Black Ops. I hated MW2, and didn't own (but did play) WaW.

I realized it wouldn't be right of me to vote Cod4. I bought the game a few months after it came out along with my newly bought PS3. For god knows what reason, I played the campaign 4 missions in, got stuck, and didn't play again for close to a whole year. After I got told how godly the game was, I finished the campaign, jizzed a little bit, yet never touched online until MW2.

It wouldn't be fair of me to vote for CoD4 even though I recognize it as a great game. Black Ops is the first CoD game I own that I consciously acknowledge as a solid game.

You know, i like Black Ops the best. Ive been a fan of the series since CoD2, which me and my friends played religiously, and i seriously thrashed people in Modern Warfare.

But Black Ops is almost everything i want in an FPS. Epic customization, dozens of weapons, smooth controls, and soon the lag will be almost nothing. ((theyer working to patch it right now))

While CoD2 and MW hold special places in my heart, i just have to give it to Black Ops. No other game has ever let me use an Icy Blue Stoner63 that bares my clan tag and insignia, with a Blue triangle sight and a 60 round clip. Its really a thing of beauty it is.

I think CoD4's story was definitely the best out of all the Call of Duty games I've played, which is usually the deciding factor in these kinds of polls for me.

I voted that I don't like them. Now, to be fair, this isn't strictly true. I've played bits of MW1 and I thought it had a decent story and was very immersive as far as feeling like an actual warzone. Multiplayer was ruined for me thanks to the player base, who I was sad to find did in fact conform to the stereotype. Not all of them, of course; there were plenty of decent people, but there were just enough shrieking assholes to put me off it for good. Also, it is the series of choice for all the people in real life who I consider complete douchebags. Finally, whenever I have fifty bucks saved up for a new game, there's always something else that comes out around that time that I'm more interested in.

So the series on its own I have no issues with, but I've dealt with so many negative associations I probably wouldn't be able to enjoy the games if I played them properly.

It depends who the praise is from because you get raging douche fanboys that cry that it is the best game ever despite hundreds of flaws.
I know the difference between "enlightened opinion" and the "raging douche fanboys" well enough to get a grasp of honest opinions about stuff I may be interested in.
sorry, just saying. No need to get mean.
I wasn't trying to be mean. Sorry. D:

Strangely, 6. The absolutely broken multiplayer was a joy to me, making random people rage over the internet with OP weapon combination is some of the most fun I've ever had. And I for one really enjoyed the campaign, loads of people said it didn't make any sense. What was there that doesn't make sense I ask you?

World at War for me. Never got into 4 and definitely liked it better than MW2. Haven't played Black Ops yet.

My favourite Call of Duty? Uhm... I don't remember the one. I think it was the one with samey, brown settings.
EDIT: Ok, ok, fine- the second newest one. I think; I'm not sure when Riot shields were added to the game, but I can assure you that they were the best part of the series. 4 player lan w/ riot shields was easily the best time I've had with a non-Goldeneye shooter.

I liked World at War the best. Despite the fucking dogs.

Maybe because I got into shooters when WWII was going out of style, and now I'm sick of "present day/near future" warfare.
Agreed. Not to mention the shades perk. I am very sad that there is no longer a shades perk. I tell everyone how much I miss that.

The only one of the four I've played is Modern Warfare 2, and only for about 3 hours or so. I've never been a Medal of Duty: Honor Call fan.

CoD2 was my favorite it had to be the best out of the series though CoD4 comes in second though mainly due to multiplayer CoD2 stood up on single player though.
