I never watched the show so in that regard I don't really care about a reboot/remake/whatever it is that they're doing. However the concept does seem pretty awful.

Noooooo on several counts:

1) Dead things should STAY DEAD! it ended for a reason, ended well enough and any remake will not be as good

2) While I enjoyed it I am not desperate for more

3) Buffy without whedon? no chance!!

TLDR? see the scrubs post above.

I've never seen the original, but have heard good things. It doesn't need a reboot, but I guess if it's good, that's fine. If not, the original will always be there. So I'm for it. Oh, and if Buffy kills those damn twilight vampires, it will be the greatest movie evah!!!

My thinking is this: Why Buffy? Are the leagues of writers that tapped out that they can't make up a new vampire hunter, hell, even to use one of the many many others that are around? Is brand recognition the only thing that matters now?

I get it, they want a vampire killing movie/show to come out around the same time as Mr. Sparkle: Part 4, but it isn't like Buffy was unique. What made the Buffy television show what it was were the people involved in it, not the over-arching story itself.

Hell no. The Buffy series came and went and I enjoyed it (mostly) while it lasted, so why reboot when the original fanbase has moved on and they'll struggle to establish a new fanbase with shows like True Blood and Vamnpire Diaries around.

Quite personally I'd rather see Kelley Armstrong's "Women of the Otherworld" novel series adapted to TV. Though I wonder how that would work out, with all the sex that's in there. ^_^

Whether or not I like this would depend on the execution. Joss Whedon is famous for good executions of strange concepts. Without him I fear this will be a nostalgia cash in.

Well I hope that is another vampire thing that actually portrays vampires well and not the ridiculous twilight ubervamps that can only be killed in the most BS of ways. Yes I know vampires are meant to be strong but they are not meant to be indestructible bar chopping up into little pieces and then put in a burning ring of fire.

I am not a die hard fan either, but I remember the original series from my childhood.

And seeing that poster that I did. NAY. NAYNAYNAYNAYNAYNAYNAY. ...Nay.

I don't care either way.
I was never a big Buffy buff, so it didn't appeal.
However, if the fans want it, they can have it, just so long as I don't have to watch it.

...Unless she pulls a crossover and slays the HELL out of Edward Cullen and Bella.
