Looking forward to hearing the soundtrack at least. I've heard they did some really cool things with the old scores.

I might. I'm interested, but not in any rush to obtain a copy. I'm going to wait until Christmas. If I get it as a gift, great, if I don't, I may buy it for myself at a later date.

Looked better when it was still in development with the dark steampunk concept art. Not as interested anymore.
So true. So very, irrevocably, incomprehensibly true. I really wish they could have gone with that, but I'm not sure the Wii would have made it look nearly as good as the concept art...

OT: Yeah, I'm gonna get it. Ever since Kingdom Hearts I've always been interested in games that altered classic Disney and its characters, and this one definitely caught my eye.

However, the Wii that's here at my dad's house belongs to my sister, so I'm gonna have to convince her to let me use it for Epic Mickey.

I don't have a Wii, but my brother does. Think he, his wife, and their 5-year-old daughter would want it as a Christmas present? ^_^

I'm not a big fan of motion controls. And, no, that's not because I am an anti-nintendo/wii bigot, I simply don't like motion controls. If Epic Mickey was played on a normal controller, then I might give it a look, but so many games are coming out next spring, so I have to budget.

I'm interested...but I don't have a Wii.
I have a couple of friends that do...so.....maybe I can leech off them for a bit.

It might have a small bit of nostalgia factor...because all I see is that old Genesis Mickey Mouse game when someone talks about this. I liked that game.

And it looks really pretty so far...I hope it holds.

I just... don't like the IP. At all.

I hated Kingdom Hearts. I really did try to get into it. Twice, in fact. I played up to and through the Alice in Wonderland level. I just really don't like Disney characters. They're creepy, they're not funny, and the lack of intelligence or maturity is incredibly distressing.

I'm sure it's not a matter of being unable to "connect with my inner child" as i can connect perfectly well with Mario and most of the Toadstool kingdom - and they were around just as much as the Disney characters when i was growing up, but i at least feel Mario is more human than Mickey will ever be. The obvious fact he is one doesn't help, either.

Anyhow, i sort of like the supposedly dark premise behind 'Epic Mickey', i just can't stand the characters. Sorry! (That's a 'not interested' from me)

I got the game for Christmas, and despite the majority of either bad or mediocre reviews....I really enjoyed it. The story got me interested, and by the end, I felt really satisfied to have given it a chance. Granted, I've been watching Disney movies (mostly animated) and cartoons since I was little, so I was always going to be a little biased towards a game that celebrates the history of Disney, plus the chance to see Mickey's older, more scrappy brother Oswald (whom I only heard about thanks to the game - and am now a huge fan of) also got me interested. I completed it in about 20 hours, could have done faster, but wanted to do as much as I could and really explore it.

It's a shame that alot of potential players are getting turned off by the hype backlash and the critics, because if you give it a chance, Epic Mickey can be very enjoyable. Yeah, the camera is fiddly, and the controls are tricky (at first), but if you only notice the flaws, you won't like any game, right? If you like Disney, definitely get it, if you like platformers, give it a go, the game's much better than most critics give it credit for, it's plenty dark and edgy if you don't look at the concept art and compare it, and it's refreshing if you have any memories of being a kid watching a Disney movie or cartoon. :)
