I find the very small amount of Twitter responses to be very interesting. Of course, most of my friends are working professionals and we don't have time to chat on the phone nearly so much as we might like, so anything short and simple to keep in touch is a boon.
Via Facebook / IM / Skype, since I am in Britainland for half a year, far away from family and friends. With the people I met here I stay in touch through face-to-face and facebook-chat conversations.
It's diffrent for every circle of friends I have (for instance, the gaming group is from all diffrent nationailties, so thats skype/vent, but I just talk face to face with my friends at school etc.)
How was texting not one of the options. I've seen people texting on their phones far more than I've seen people talking on them. There isn't a more unbiquitous form of modern communication.
