Honestly, Hellboy would translate the best into a video game (if done correctly). While Pan's Labyrinth is my favorite film ever, I don't see a game working to well for it unless its like a Silent Hill level of atmosphere adventure game, which would be awesome now that I think@about it.

The Orphanage would make a creepy as hell game too.

I'll put it this way. Anything del Toro does, I support. The man is a genius.

Well, Hellboy already had a game or two, if I recall correctly. Splice could be really interesting if it was done as a spin-off, rather than a direct adaptation... but that's probably a bit too optimistic on my part.

I would like to see a GOOD hellboy game, maybe not control Hellboy himself, but maybe create your own charecter, meet the members of the team, your powers branch out from your choices (Not good and evil, thought that could work) maybe your a elementalist or somthing, but yea, it could work.

I'm going with the unusual path here and hope his next VG is...
The Strain Trilogy (the books he is writing with Chuck Hogan) :D

you do realize you're talking about a video game based on a movie right?

they don't work

all of these movies have tightly constructed stories that couldn't possibly translate into an appropriately long game
and all these movies have a serious tone to them that wouldn't appeal to the kid audience that would buy movie games

books would translate better into a game because most books have ten hours of story in their pages

During a book signing in Oregon, Mexican film director and writer Guillermo del Toro stated that videogames were the "comic books of our time" and a "narrative art form." If del Toro were to try his hand at the art form, which movie of his would you want turned into a videogame?

you should add an option saying None, because some people doesn't want to have movies made into games...

I don't know how Hellboy is even winning. There's already a Hellboy game, and it was terrible.

Going up against an Golden Industrable Mechanical Army with a five-fingered Mary the size of my armchair and a Handcannon-like revolver is something I would like to try. Anung Un Rama for me.

voted Pan's labyrinth. Because I think nothing could more perfectly capture or even expand upon the wonder that was Pan Labyrinth's twisted fairytale world than a run of the mill 3rd person action adventure with dodgy gameplay mechanics, sub par graphics, & none of the original cast or dialogue.

The Devil's Backbone.

Can't really give details without giving away the film, but watch it. It's awesome.
Devil's backbone suffered the same problem as The Orphanage, namely being well directed but awkwardly paced & full of twists that contradicted previous events.

Cronos might work as a game...if they ignored almost everything about the film except the beetle amulet & Ron Pearlman.

Pan's Labyrinth!
Hellboy plot is childish and boring(Pop Jesus like). Would become an action shooter with bad mechanics. Mimic and Splice are that kind of movie who tries to be a serious sci fi but ends as action fantasy sci fi, not the type of game i'm looking over now(theres tooooo many).Don't Be Afraid of the Dark looks nice but.... have it been released yet?
