Easily.

It's a game, and as such, any choices are reversible through the magic of saving.

I'd love to play a Bioware game that had only one autosave slot, and over wrote it the moment the choice was made. Forcing you to deal with your consequences. And you aren't allowed to replay it, either.
Brilliant. You have to restart the game just to undo your choice. I love this idea

You My good sir have just STUFFED yourself full of Win This morning :D

Very tempting to be evil when everyone trusts you with their secrets and deep rooted feelings.

Answer yes if the resulting actions incurs more evil than being evil originally.

Ie give the weakest beggar in a alley £100 the other beggars in turn will beat the weakest one up for the money therfore being more mean than if youd just said no.

KOTOR taught me this

Let's turn the question around shall we. Are you a bad person for playing, say, Call of Duty? You're shooting people aren't you. In multiplayer, you're shooting friends and random strangers for fun. Does that make you bad? Of course not, it's all just a game.

When I "role play" in games, I always play nice. When I'm in a bad mood, or just want to goof around, it's fun to set up mayhem and watch it unfold. It helps me to blow off steam.

I've tried to play "good characters", it's incredibly hard! I have to take a break every 15 min to release the frustration of paling the roll of a total pansy so i don't ruin my save! the things we do for achievements/trophies...

In the end, you're all a bunch of jerks!

As proven by this venn diagram:

Also, options 1 and 4 are exactly the same thing.

ITS A GAME

i mean, seriously?? i have played "H" games like "Rapelay", so does that mean i secretly want to rape 3 different girls?? (or would be able to do so?)

NO, its a FANTASY thats all

if i get into town and kill every single guy in there, that doesnt mean i will do so in real life

cant you see its the same concept as "seriall killer was egged to do so by Grand Theft Auto"???

Its just a game "play pretend" i play good guy almost always, but once i finish the game i play bad guy trough the story, and i mean a "BAD" guy, a guy that does thinks i wouldn´t even believe someone would be possible of doing In game, now seriously, real life?? its out of the question!

It may mean you're capable of bad things, but not a bad person. But that's universal for people reegardless on how they play Fallout or what kind of underwear they wear.

i thought of that before i did it. i was pleasantly surprised to get that lecture. made me hate her more for wasting my time telling me things i already knew and even more annoyed at the game for giving me light-side points anyway. i invertiblely wind up almost pure neutral because the "Palpatine" options are overlooked.
at least KOTOR 1 had a separate ending for true neutral, which considering the non-stop ramblings of the "handless one" you would think that KOTOR 2 would have as well.

I was disapointed abut that too but atleast kotor had a neutrall ending unlike most karma based games these days im interested in the new vegas aproach of local karma system as being evill to one guy will always be seen as good to another person its all about perspective

but OT; it depends on the intention of the action being good can often have bad consequences and vise versa

Of course you can! Your playstyle might not be an indicator of how you're morality based. For example, my brothers think I'm the devil but in Mass Effect 1 & 2 and Fable 2 I always play as a good person (sometimes going borderline saintly) and that pisses them off to no end. (but then again, I don't really see myself as devil evil most of the time)

I think doing evil actions in video games could mean your capable, but use video games as an outlet, a stress reliever so you don't preform such evil actions in the real world. Because let's face it, we all want to do it, but common sense always kicks in and tells us that we can't... well, most of the time.

I like to believe that how you play a game is not necessarily a reflection of who you are as a person, although it would explain why everyone playing first person shooters trying to kill eachother act like complete psychopaths and jerks.
