It's always been Don. Leonardo always seemed like he had one of his swords shoved up his butt in early years, Raphaello was just emo raging and Mike, could never take the guy seriously, good as comic relief but nothing else.

Donatello for his intelligence and choice of mask colour and weapon. Whenever we played Mutant Turtles as a kid it was always easy to find a stick to play as him.

i didn't watch tmnt as much as other people probably did when they were little and lithunian dubbing was so screwed up on the show i didn't find any charm in the characters.So i'm gonna say the turtle with the katana, because katanas are awesome .

Raph. In the original comics he had deep seated emotional and anger issues and lost his rag at the drop of a hat. As a kid he reminded me of me. He def had the best and most deep characterisation in my opinion. The kids cartoon and awfull films ruined the Turtles as far as I was concerned. Though I apreciate they blew them up into the kids fave they became and Eastman and Laird would not have made much cash out of there creations without them.

Donnie, especially in the 2003- cartoon. In fact, only in that one, because movie Don had no personality and no screen time. Maybe next movie, hm?
Oh, and wasn't there another one? I thought that maybe... a girl turtle... Oh, wait, no. What am I saying? She *never even existed*. Peter Laird said so.
EDIT: All that said, I thought 80's cartoon Raph was pretty cool, that caustic little devil.
