If you import a Mass Effect 2 character, and lets say you gave them sniper rifles as a bonus specialization on the first playthrough, when they get to the point where they can pick the specialization again, will you be able to get The Widow?
Sadly not. You only get to pick one bonus on the Collector Ship and that sticks with you for every NG+ from that career.

[sub]Of course, PC players have a number of ways of getting around that...[/sub]
Looks like I've got a file to edit! (after I back it up)

Thanks.
Not to be a goody-two-shoes, but editing files to give yourself weapons you're not supposed to have is about equal to editing files to give yourself 9999 Health and Shields...
it saves me from having to watch that motherfucking unskipable intro and creating a new class and then playing all the way to the collector ship just to "try out" The Revenant and The Widow, but of course, in a lot of games sometimes I make a few characters that are legitimate, and sometimes I make some "cheat" characters, but for me, cheating gets old very quickly no matter what game so I never use those characters for long.

Also I'll give myself some renegade points as a joke because I'm such a damn cheater.

There's also giving yourselves characters early so you can listen to dialogue which is inaccessible any other way. For instance, Legion has dialogue for all the recruitment missions, including those which you can't do before you get him normally. You'd never get to see that stuff if you didn't add him to your game early.

Also it's hilarious listening to your second team mate talk to themselves on Horizon and the Derelict Reaper because Legion doesn't have lines for those missions.
