YAY! Might have to get me whichever one has the most Dragon types added into the game. If both have the same number, I'll get both then. Thanks for the heads up!

Still wanna see if they'll make a Steel/Dragon type. Dragon types being weak to only Dragon and Ice-based attacks and Steel types resisting Dragon and Ice based attacks, though it'd probably have to have some kind of statisical weakness if it were to have no attack type weakness. I'd find a picture of Mecha-Godzilla stomping Pikachu into the ground and put it up here, but then I might be over-doing it a bit.

Also on the wish list is if they'll make a powerful Dragon-type attack that has 5 uses or the like. Something around the idea of it being called Dragon Flare and having attack power similar to Hyper Beam.

I really like the pokemon Cloyster.

But it take a long time to train and evolve Shellder at a decent level for which to evolve it at. (Evolved mine after it learn ice Beam at Lv.49) The problem is, after all that work Cloyster still sucks. It's got a really weak Sp. defense and poor speed. It's also weak to 6 different elements, which makes the pokemon significantly worse when it has virtually no speed.

STAB = Same Type Attack Bonus 1.25x for dual type pokemon.
Wait what!? Really? That sucks arse! I love my Wing attack + Technicican Scyther, and now I find out that the game gimps its true potential?
He could never get STAB from Wing Attack. He's Bug/Steel, not Flying.

My shitty, but often-used (at least pre-Elite Four) would have to be Nidoking. He's an awesome Poké, and reliable super-effective spammer, but he's so flimsy...
I always liked Scyther better than Scizor, firstly because I never had anyone to trade with so I never could get one and secondly because (unless I'm mistaken) Scyther is faster than Scizor (and it ahs a high enough attack that I'd rather have speed than an extra attack bonus). Also, scythes for hands or giant metal clamp-ball-things? Scythes all the way.\

EDIT: Oh yeah, also, a really mean combo to have would be Scizor, Forretress and Nidoking. Between Scizor and Forretress you have a tank and a 'pwnage' machine, and the only weakness is fire which is covered by Nidoking seeing as it can learn Surf and Earth power/Earthquake.

Well then im able to give you good news again. Dialga is a steel dragon type, he is the main legendary for Diamond version. and he is the only one with the move Roar of Time. which has the same he must rest after use, side effect and with a power of 150, accuracy at 90% and only 5 pp. it is kinda like hyper beam. THo Dilaga is the only one that can learn it. so i guess thats a two for one deal there.

I would have to say, my favorite two Pokemon that sorta suck (at least from what I have seen) is Mawile and Castform. Sure weather ball is powerful after you used rain dance or hail or something but by the time that i successfully used a weather condition and readied the move he was already knocked out! Castform's stats are atrocious. Mawile on the other hand has meh' stats and has no good moves. All that its used for nowadays is stat reduction. Sure from G4 it has iron head to help it out a bit but since EVERYONE (almost) carries around a friggin' Infernape its useless! My favorite 3 (ironically) are Brelloom, Bellossom, and Ludicolo who is the Kool Aid man btw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWrMZNwziOQ .

I've never looked too deeply into the actualy stats of any of the Pokémon when I play, I just have moves that look or sound cool and hope for the best.
My favourite Pokémon that sucks has to be...

Ratata. I taught mine thunderbolt and called it Pikachu.

Scizor is miles better than Scyther. It's true that Scyther is faster, but that's irrelevant - Any good Scizor user uses Bullet Punch as one of the moves, which is increased priority. 90 damage, hitting first.

Plus, Scizor has better defence, and a stack of resistances. Major downside with the 4x fire weakness, but that's why you keep a Water tank around, like Swampert or Empoleon.

Forretress is a mean machine, at least from a competitive standpoint. Good tank.

Nidoking is pathetic in the higher levels, as he's slow and oddly enough, poorly armoured. Aside from the obvious Pseudo-Legendaries like Metagross, Dragonite, Salamence and Tyranitar, the best backup for a Scizor is either a Swampert/Empoleon or a good Electivire. Electivire is great for quick takedowns of dual-type Fires with some hard-hitting physical moves, and Swampert/Empoleon can pull out some water moves. Muddy Water is a brilliant backup for a flammable Scizor.

Damn, I've missed out quite a bit. Perhaps it's time to get myself re-acquainted with the game and invest in the games one more time. Thanks again, much appreciated!

I never play competitively. As it is, the most technical I get is aligning physical attacks with physical stats on my pokemon (and even then I normally give gyarados surf anyway). So yeah, a pokemon doesn't need to be competitivley beastly, it just needs to have a good in-game feel to it. So I like umbreon because it looks cool, is a dark-type (I like it for the dark, not the type, if that makes sense) and I like the slow-but-steady approach of umbreon as a tank. I like scyther over scizor because it feels better (and is speedy as shit). And the pokemon only need to be strong enough to get me through the game, not to beat any hard-core competition player.

Goddamnit, vulpix! So cute, but so useless. Back when I was playing gen 1/gen 2, vulpix couldn't go five seconds into a battle without getting slaughtered.

Marowak for me. I enjoy having Bonemarang so much, but his speed is completely terrible. Thick Club kinda makes up for that, though, despite how much of a pain it is to find one.

Also the lack of being able to learn a physical Ice-type attack really annoys me, especially since it can learn Ice Beam and Thunderpunch. >.>

Me either, on the hardcore competitive side. I use Pokémon I like (which, thankfully, are mostly powerful ones, aside from Nidoking). However, I like to make my Pokés as versatile and effective as possible, especially since Battle Frontier AI can get dubiously lucky with critical hits.

I don't know why, but I've always had a soft spot for Drifloon / Drifblim. They're not that bad, but the main reason I like them is because they're ADOWABUWL. Oh, and they can use Fly. That's nice, I guess. SO CUTE!

It's easy for kids to learn, and complicated enough to keep grown men interested.

What does that say about it?

I'm an old, old pokemaster. Only ever owned red, and luckily i talked my brother into buying blue. But I remember how much fun I could have with Ditto. Not for any particular gaming combo but because he IRRITADED the shit out of other kids on link-battles. Angry people fuck up, thus Ditto, a useless waste of belt-space becomes a surprisingly effective stratagem.

Man, I've always wanted to at least try some of the more competetive online side of Pokemon but it's the EV training and stuff that turns me off. Seems like unless using some type of shortcut to skip that stuff it'll take like 10 hours to prepare ONE pokemon. Let alone a whole team.

Ah well. I do follow it around a bit and if I got into it would want to at least TRY to use a Pinsir. THAT is a bad-ass pokemon right there. Yeah. I'm plain Bug type. What're you gonna do about it? SWORDS DANCE-X-SCISSOR IN YOUR FACE!

Kids should not bother entering real life tournaments.
