I always went furiously mad when I was a kid but I have stopped with that and grown some patience (which is awesome, being angry sucks) but it's not enough. If I get somehow I upset because I run into a difficulty or technical obstacle such as performance, bug or lag issues I usually try a different way of approach once or twice then quit, take a break and doing something else and then return. Usually after I return to face the mega lag or the final boss I finish the issue in one or try or three and it just feels amazing. This does only concern single player games, in multiplayer games I usually just quit or try to ignore the issue and see it from a humourous point of view.

The worst part about being mad though is if something triggers a rage like it getting worse or a person mocks you on a sensitive spot but then again it's hilarious do the same towards someone else.

I rage quit in starcraft II against people fairly often.

Whenever I know I should have won the game or died by retarded cheese.

I actually permanently ragequit BIT.TRIP BEAT because of an achievement, of all things. It has an achievement called "EPIC.FAIL" which you get by missing a beat while you have an extended paddle. I really don't need the game itself making fun of me when I'm grudgingly attempting something new for me.

Most recent examples I can think of are

BlazBlue CS: unlimited Hazama is such a brokenly annoying cock, he either rapes me or i get him down to low health and get screwed trying to pull off the distortion drive that's kill him - Nu was nowhere near this annoying. Ditto unlimited Ragna and his ability to carnage scisors in the brief nanosecond gap between strikes.

The Last Remnant: for an alleged tactical rpg, it's really more a case of every battle being a luck based mission where the computer cheats. Multi deadlocks, fucking curse, the commands you can give your units being randomly generated including your fricking healing... went straight to the bottom of my pile and is staying there until the enxt time i feel masochistic.

SF4: seth. fucking Seth.

Day of Reckoning 2: The mash a to get up mechanic and the tendency for everything you do to be countered leading to you spending half the match on the ground mashing a. Curse words were issued at length and my pad was broken through sheer rage.

Can't think of any other examples, although some games have had me coming closer to quittage than others.

If I quit Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 its cuz I rage quit when a guy spams Rasengan or catches me in an infinite loop move thing. Other then that it'll really just be if the lag gets to be too bad.

My friend rage quit from MW 2 once and then chucked the disc out of his bedroom window. All because a riot shield prevented him from killing someone.

I love rage quitting on Demon's souls and beating the auto save.

Often in Black Ops i feel like rage-quitting, then i suck it up and fail a whole lot more.
Except...

...except, i wouldnt have failed so much if I WAS BEHIND THE WALL ON HIS SCREEN, BUT NOOOO.

I hate it when that happens.

I don't rage-quit because.. I'm not 12 years old? At any rate, if a game gets boring sure I leave, thats not a rage-quit though.

Assassin's Creed 2. I'm on some part where I have to kill 12 colonels or something to save Florence. There's a part with a boat. You cannot be spotted.

I've tried it over 10 times. I'm done. Assassin's Creed 2, it was fun, but ultimately I'll give you an 8/10 thanks to this ridiculous level and for being overly long in general.

My ragequits generally come after losing a lot of progress on games that have terrible auto save systems like Mass Effect 1.

Though I did ragequit in Magicka on the giant white monsters that instakill you as soon as they touch you, before I realized I could just use rain, walk far enough to make them spawn, then use SRRRR to freeze them to death fairly quickly

Fucking amazing. On topic, I rage quit mainly with connection issues. I don't mind doing pathetically bad in a game and being spawn camped for 10 minutes. I cannot fucking stand connection errors though, or games like Gears of War and COD where you're God if you're the host.

I've raged on Battletoads. Stupid Turbo Tunnel.

EDIT: and Mariokart.

Fukken Blue Shell...

THIS is why you put items on Strategic.

L4D (1 & 2) have, and always will, be my primary source of RAEG quitting.
Gotta love it when some group of four people think its a good idea to just PUB STOMP your ass.

I still managed to get 100 hours out of each game, however, but even if Valve releases more content, I don't see myself going back for much more.

I ragequit a COD4 match today because the other team were all camping in corners with UAV Jammer. I don't understand how that could possibly be fun for anyone.

I just rage-quit during my Dead Space 2 hardcore run a hour ago.

I opened a door, the little crawlers that jump on your back somehow glitched the door: when i opened it again, i fell down a black hole, which ended up killing me. This was on chapter 4 and needless to say, i hadn't wasted a save yet. I'm still pretty mad about it.

Last time when I rage quitted was when I was playing Dead Space 2 first playtrhough on Zealot.
I started the game first time on Zealot dificulty setting and made it to the last boss fight.
Then I only had four shots left on the launcher and that was all the ammunition I had.
So I tried, tried, tried, tried and cried as I could not defeat the last boss with those 4 ammo I had.
So I rage quitted and started the game on normal...
That did the trick.
Also during the normal playtrhough I noticed how overly powerful weapon contact beam is.

Dead Space 2. Here's how my experience went...

I stocked up on as much ammo as I possibly could, went through the eye-poke machine, and then the first enemy pops up. Only one enemy? Hah, guess they're just easing me into this......oh god........OH GOD!!!

Needless to say, this has to be the cheapest ************ in the entire game, and I am constantly running from the bastard. But that's a good thing. It's been a while since I've genuinely feared something in a game, the only problem was that the fear came from frustration, but hey, baby steps, Visceral Games.

Turns out, I've used up all my Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle ammo, I have only one Line Gun shot left, and 21 Ripper Blades when I meet Tiedmann. Somehow, I survived a spear to the neck and to the hand, and then all of a sudden, BAM! Final Boss Fight time, and I must say, this has to be one of the most annoying and infuriating Final Bosses I've ever had the displeasure of playing through.

For one thing, the arena you fight in is very small, cramped and limited, and the amount of enemies on screen turns the thing into a clusterfuck. I could get ammo from the demon children..."projection" enemies I guess, but they constantly regenerate more and more, and one single hit from the ninety billion of them on screen results in my character being interrupted. I could just go all Ripper on the *****, but I'm constantly, being interrupted by the fucking Children of the Corn, and I only have one fucking small-med pack left due to the castration I endured by reaching this point.

This would be all fine and dandy, and I would still be able to beat the damn whore in a couple of tries........if it weren't for this

If you even stand next to her, or even so much as accidentally walk backwards towards her as she teleports directly behind you (No srsly that happened once), then BAM insta-kill, the cheapest fucking attack in the entire game, in a game full of cheap enemies. One step too much and it won't even take effort for her to just completely rape you. It was after I've seen that SAME GOD DAMN FUCKING DEATH SEQUENCE SCREEN mocking me for the 27TH FUCKING TIME that I just gave the fuck up.

Eventually after a couple of days of hard drinking and crying in the corner like a *****, the only way for me to defeat that damn thing was to do a last minute switch to Casual mode, which just made me feel like I was putting myself under the pussification ray, but I'd rather be pussified and progressing, than learning that even going on Normal difficulty leads to cruelly unfair deaths and frustration. And the ending wasn't even that much worth it due to how painfully abrupt it was.

TL;DR Yeah, I still thought it was a good game, and I like games that get tougher as they go along, and Dead Space 2 was really getting there, but that final boss fight was just...ugghhh
