I knew a couple people who bought a PlayStation just to play it.

And I was one of those people.

I went round my then-boyfriends house one afternoon to see him glued to his PS1 playing VII. Think he was somewhere inside Midgar still, but it all looked very exciting and cool. I asked if I could have a go. He said no. I sulked a bit. Asked again an hour later - still no.

That's roughly the time I got the arse, went into town and bought my own PlayStation, complete with copy of VII.

I never looked back.

1. VII - Love it to death. Materia system was excellent, story was good and it had Vincent "Tall Dark and Moody" Valentine in it.

2. VI - Amazingly good story, characters and villain. Kefka sealed my fear of clowns for good, and the opera Aria is one of my favourite pieces of music of all time.

3. IX - A throwback to the earlier job systems, lovely to play and lovely to look at. Also had a protagonist a bit more upbeat than the previous ones, which made a nice change.

Well I would post my top three, but great minds think alike =).

Everything else is between "meh" and "god awful!". while final fantasy 10 is on the sole throne of "worst final fantasy ever", even 13 kneels before the throne.

And yeah i know 6 is good and all, but i can never bring myself to play longer than an hour. So i don't really have an opinion on it.

It's funny that I type here because I've never played a Final Fantasy game ^^
Just sayin', my kind of breed also exists!
