LOL "In any language its not just a copy, its a crime" ....except in Swedish.
Or in Canadian dialects, although that may change.
I'm Canadian and believe me, its not going to change, our government is crap and they're too busy keeping themselves in power to do anything,

That was the stupidest thing I have seen today, or all week for that matter.
I shalll now head off to the nearest torrent site and get myself somthing out of spite. Should probably be an EA game, definitely not a Stardock. I stick to my word of less DRM, less pirating, no DRM, no pirating.
Also, I recommend that when the full length video comes out, that everyone pirates it.

Wow. That is annoying. And maybe a little funny in a quaint sort of way.

I don't see this message having a big impact on anyone, particularly since there is no actual copy button if you are downloading something (I'm assuming most piracy actually takes place online).
I suppose technically it is a copy, but how many people are going to make that link, especially assuming that this video is intended to affect people's conscience at a subconscious level or something. Because honestly, the clip just makes me laugh.

How much are they spending on it? And will it be worth it?

Will it work?

I'm also Canadian, and I know it may end up as a hot topic WITH WHICH the government will use to stay in power.

I'm pretty sure the creators of the video know it's cheesy, but the most important thing is that people talk about it. Which we're doing right now.

Btw: It's not just a copy, it's a crime, 'aight? Word to your mother.

Haha, classic... pure classic. Go IT crowd.
OT- With music artists,if they wanted to get a message across or just loved to create music, then they would either sell cheap (to cover base costs) or just give it away for free. Because they should really get alot of their money out of merchandise, TV slots and concerts. If not... well, i still think its a lot to do with greed.
But Jesus, this video makes me want to go pirate stuff outta spite, like Max.

Well, that was excellent!

Not that this will make any difference at all to pirates. Thing is, you don't NEED to copy games onto other discs, we have data pens and the internet now, we can transfer files via hotmail!

As a Games Programmer in his third year, I never copy computer games because it's such a dumb idea to sabotage the industry you, one day, plan to find work in! (But I still download music and films off uTorrent, and if i deem them good enough I do buy them, and if not I delete them. Now THAT'S protecting the customer!!!)

Really? What fucking crack were they smoking?

Everybody knows we don't use floppy disks anymore.. Silly corporations.
And how is that guy a hero? If I saw that son of a ***** on my monitor, I'd smack him in the face with McAfee.

Wow, that was so fantastic that it has blown all thoughts of piracy right out of my mind. I shall never pirate again. Also, I'm a paragon of truth and purity and Space 1999 was a totally accurate view of the future

Yah but people are tired of the government helping big industries and screwing over everyone else.

Yes, file-sharing is a crime... WE GET IT!

I have one question though: why is it a crime? Not why as in "because the big corporations whine a lot", but as in "why our governments listen to their whine"...

The video was kind of funny though.

--Xvito, keeping it excellent.
Why is it a crime? Because I don't eat when people don't buy my music.

I mean, I'm not saying ban file sharing. I'm saying, come on guys. If you downloaded a song or two, thats fine. But they have whole discographies up for download. That's just fucked up.
If you want to listen to my music for free, yeah you could download a song, or you could do it on youtube, LEGALLY.

There's a point where it isn't so much as don't do it because it's a crime, don't do it because it isn't ethical.
