Hey you know that cut the publishing companies take away from geuine creators whenever you pay them for that service they don't provide? They invest it in propaganda like this!... And you know what? I'm kinda okay with that... We're all just lucky they don't make 'em' like Goebelles anymore.

Given that most rap contains sampling which is, in itself, technically a form of copyright infringement, I have a hard time taking this seriously.

Of course, anything that uses rap automatically fails anyway.

meh my response was so-so, lets sum it together by saying piracy is what it is and that video is stupid.

Really? What fucking crack were they smoking?

Everybody knows we don't use floppy disks anymore.. Silly corporations.
And how is that guy a hero? If I saw that son of a ***** on my monitor, I'd smack him in the face with McAfee.

Wow, that was so fantastic that it has blown all thoughts of piracy right out of my mind. I shall never pirate again. Also, I'm a paragon of truth and purity and Space 1999 was a totally accurate view of the future

Video is full of FAIL and FUD and does not deserve a more intellectual response.

Christ, look at all these people not getting it - and that's only from the second page!

Now come on folks - come back and tell me you are more intelligent than me and that I just didn't understand your subliminal forms of irony. Do it. In my face. Now.

Yes, file-sharing is a crime... WE GET IT!

I have one question though: why is it a crime? Not why as in "because the big corporations whine a lot", but as in "why our governments listen to their whine"...

The video was kind of funny though.

--Xvito, keeping it excellent.
Well it takes away money from said companies, and I couldn't care lest about the CEOs etc. but the small time labour guys who make CDs etc. get my sympathy.

OT; at least this is better then those "knock-off Nigel" adverts that were going round in the UK

I wasn't paying to close attention to the whole thing, honestly. To me it seemed like just another sad attempt by another group trying to be "hip with the kids" and saying copying is wrong. I did find it funny, just in a "these groups are stupid" kind of way.

Yeah, I've been a little overly dramatic about that one, I apologize. All that talk just blew my mind because it was so obviously making fun of itself. I mean, how many people would've taken it seriously if they actually made a serious video?

No problem man. If it had been dead pan serious like those ridiculous ads they play in the theatres, it would have been even funnier.

God, I watched both of those vids, and about a third of the way through I was somehow curled up on the floor in the fetal position from the terribad rapping. The message is fine, but the way they sent it out made my soul cry in eternal agony. I just hope to god they don't make us watch the completed video in my networking clsses next term, for if they do I swear to the Flying Sphagetti Monster I will remotely shut down half of my college's computers out of spite.

I love all these "that video made me cringe it was so bad!" comments. Do you honestly expect, after 13 years, that they didn't realize how cheesy it was? I highly doubt that their sole reasoning behind this is to reduce piracy.

LOL "In any language its not just a copy, its a crime" ....except in Swedish.
What are you trying to say?
It isn't against the law to copy in Sweden, there are no laws against it.
