Damn, I was actually really looking forward to this, if done right a Bioshock film could be fantastic, oh well, here's hoping it doesn't dissapear completely.

Am I the only one who's got mixed emotions about a Bioshock film? As much as I love the game, VG films do not have that great a track record.

Yeah I'm really interested to see how they do this, it could definitely turn out really good. I just think it would probably better with American accents, because that's how everyone talked in the game if I remember right. I hope it gets moving soon though.

Actually, Fontaine sounded Irish, Tenenbaum German, lots of Splicer were British or Scottish, someone on an audio file sounded Russian. It was a pretty diverse, multicultural, diversity-embracing, mass-murdering society.

Why beef with all of this is that people complain about movies costing too much, but then when they skimp on the budget and are universally rejected, the suits act like it was the fault of the director/producer/anyone else.
Hell, they balked at Halo's budget, a near guaranteed blockbuster, because the crew behind it didn't want a slop job.

I kid, I kid. Anyhoo, it's good to know that Verbinski turned down milking the Pirates franchise for all it's worth in favor of this, because this actually has quite a lot of potential and I think it's going to turn out good.
